Subject : need advice(in other forums)

beings as the potty training forum is so quiet i thought I would post here too.

Isaac is 2yrs 10 months

If he has no nappy/trousers/pants on. He never has an accident. He will take himself to the toilet and go fine. As soon as I put pants on him its a different story. He treats them like a nappy and wees in them.

He starts nursery in April and I am desperate to get him dry soon.

I would be really greatful for any advice ladies! xxxx

do you change him straight away if he wees in pants? does he "bother" when he wees? if he dosn't like being wet you could try leaving him a little while in the hope he makes the connection - if i pee in my pants it aint very nice, best use the loo!-

If you can handle the mess (and the washing!) then I'd just get him wearing pants and joggers all the time, make sure they're easy to pull up and down. You may have a few days of him wetting them, but he will soon find out it feels yukky. When he wets, just say we do wees on the loo and get him to take his wet things off and put them in washer, and get new clothes on. He obviously has the skills to stay dry, he just needs to make the association with keeping his pants dry now. I'm sure he will get the hang of it soon.
