Subject : period cycles - how many days? UPDATE

Since having lo (15 months aog) and then having the coil fitted (1 year ago) my period cycle seems to have got into a pattern of 35 days.
However, I had the coil taken out 2 months ago to have laser surgery and I am now on day 38 of this cycle and no sign of my period!

How many days on average are all your cycles (I was on the pill for 15 years before coming off to conceive lo and so had 28 days every month and therefore have no idea!)? Confused

Does 35 seem a lot and is 38 a BIG lot (lol) and therefore could I be.......

We have been good and used condoms most of the time. haha... LOL!

not actively trying (I said I wanted to wait till she is 2 but hubbie is eager now!) but wouldn't mind!

Did a test on day 35 and it was negative! LOL!

What are your cycles like?

Thanks. xxx

Thanks for your replies guys, that makes me a little less worried.

Well I did a test thismorning and it was negative and then about an hour later Aunt Flo arrived!!
We will definitely be more careful this month now as while (as i said) I wouldn't mind at all, i would like to be trying a bit harder! LOL!

xxx

After having lo I went straight back on the pill for 12 months then came off it as we thinking about ttc no.2 and wanted time to work out cycles etc. When I came back off it my cycles went from being 32-41 days long. We weren't activly trying as were waiting till oct-nov but we weren't always careful either and I was convinced I was pg every month as they were so long. Then the month I actually got pg i didn't end up testing till about cd45 as was fed up of buying hpt's lol

After having lo my cycles were normally 31 days. I did have a couple that were a little shorter. My last 2 however have been 37 & 36. We are ttc so this is making it a bit harder to pinpoint ov.

Does the coil have hormones in it? If so it could just be your hormones settling like when you come off the pill.
