Subject : advice please

hello..my son is 14months and since he was 3months he has slept though all night, but in the last couple of weeks he has started waking in the night at first i think due to teething problems, now if i can get him to sleep he will nearly sleep though...this i can cope with, but i now can't get him to go to sleep , we have the same routine as always, but now when i put him in bed he just keeps standing up..and crys.....i've tried keep going in to lie him down, but he just gets straight up again it either becomes a game to him or he gets very distressed if i ignore him and then it takes an age to settle him again.....so have started letting him fall asleep on me the transfering to cot...i know this is bad.....help...:\?
