sorry its me again.
i'm finding it much harder this time round.
i go into NICU and isobelle is doing really well and is wide awake, but then one or two days later she's not so good. Towards the end of this week she has been doing really well following the NEC scare. She is still nil by mouth and has a long line in her head, but has been trying to suck everything in sight. she's been looking all around with her big eyes and responding to our voices. They told me that they will very slowly start feeds on Monday. At last she's going in the right direction again.
however today when i went to see her, she was pale and sleepy. the nurse was injecting something into her canula in her arm as Izzy's hands and feet were full of water. they were all puffy and swollen.
She told us that her HB levels were low, but that they had just sent another blood sample off.
so she might end up having another blood transfusion. This means they wont start feeds until afterwards and last time the blood had to come up from Bristol.
She's got so many holes in her arms and feet, I dont think she has any more veins left.

Sweetheart that sounds like a lot for you to be going through ofcourse your're going to be upset. I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be for you right now. I really hope things perk up and your little fighter gets stronger and is feeding soon x ((hugs)) x

If anyone has a reason to rant, it's you so rant away. I'm so sorry that you and Izzy are going through this and I'm keeping everything crossed that she gets better really soon and goes consistently in the right direction.

No apologies required!! We just hope you are holding up OK and getting lots of support in person as well as online. Isobelle is clearly a fighter and I'm sure things will get better soon. Hang in there!

I'm not going to try and begin to know how you feel so i won't, you rant away all you like with no apologies needed. She's doing really well and is a real little fighter. I'm sure some things are here to test us but she's a patient and strong little girl, with a fab mummy supporting her.

If anyone has a right to rant on here it's you. I can't begin to comprehend what Izzy, you and your family must be going through to see her doing so well for then to suffer a setback. But if it tells you one thing, it's that she's a little fighter. We're all thinking about you and you know where to come if you need to let off any more steam

You're just tired and it is your lil girl ofcourse it is all bound to affect you and make you feel emotional. You're her mummy and want to feed her and her to be fine but she just needs that extra time to gain her strength. Thinking of you xjx
