Subject : Not good news at scan yesterday ):

Hi, had scan yesterday and sadly didn't go as well as i hoped, Baby has a heartbeat but it is slow.

The sonographer said it may be that the baby was resting or that it was poorly. I have to go for another scan next Friday to see what is what. She said it wasn't uncommon for this to happen but can't help thinking the worse.

I then saw my consultant who said really i have a 50/50 chance of mc and to be prepared for this.

So hope that it is a super strong sticky bean but at the same time trying to prepare myself incase this is not the case.

As anyone else gone for a scan to be told their bean has a slow heart beat only to go for another scan and everything be ok? Sorry grasping at straws.

I have had no pain, cramps or bleeding to suggest mc is on its way but can't help feeling its just a matter of time. Sorry to be so negative, im trying really hard not to be.

Sara x

Hi Sara,

I am so sorry you didn't get the news you were expecting and can totally understand your negativity - don't apologise for it. A 50:50 chance is understandably worrying. At least you have seen the HB this time though hun. And there is still a good chance that everything will work out, don't lose sight of that.

I am really hoping that this is a sticky one for you honey, sending you big (((((hugs)))))

Oh Sara, I'm really sorry it couldn't have just been good news.

It is completely understandable that you are feeling so down and worried. No need to apologise at all.

I will keep my fingers crossed that your little bean hangs in there and all works out.

Thinking of you ((((((((hugs))))))))

Love NN xxx
