Hello all Just back from hospital - went up to confirm waters had gone and because was worried about lack of movement from Jnr again! Didn't think waters had gone because there wasn't a lot of it - expected more but after a painful exam by a doc with a speculum and torch (!!) he confirmed they had indeed gone! Baby was on monitor for good hour as was v sleepy to start with - one of the midwives bounced my bump a few times to get him/her going. As I'm not having contractions - just the odd tightening and some period pain I've been allowed home (phew - was v hungry!!) so we've been to mcd's and now we're just trying to relax. Got to go back again at 1030 tonight for more monitoring and then they'll discuss what time we go back tomorrow to be induced - if things still haven't started. Feel bizarrely calm at the moment - and ever so excited!!!!! Welsh x 40+1 PS - no messages on FB please (for those who know me on there) - we'll have to break news to OH's son before we can go public!!!!

Thanks everyone, feels odd to be sat waiting for contractions - I didn't expect it would be like this! I thought everything would happen at once! Sim - not completely gone - still leaking a bit!! Just waiting for OH to come back in with takeaway now - gonna watch X Factor and then head back to hosp for 1030 for more monitoring. Am getting v irregular period type pains but that's all at the mo ... watch this space!! a v excited Welsh x 40+1
