After working SO hard getting Beth to sleep in basket in dark room (a la Gina Ford), the outcome is... that she won't bloomin sleep anywhere else! OH took her to his Mum's today and she wouldn't sleep in pram so result was he came home with a massively overtired and peed off baby!
We actually tried to get her to nap in the lounge this morning as the dark room thing won't always be practical but she just looked around until we gave up and put her upstairs again.

Sigh. I know I should be grateful that she now sleeps so well in basket but I feel a bit housebound really if she won't sleep anywhere else...!!

No need to reply - just needed to share!

I have the opposite problem harry won't sleep in dark room on his own. On the plus side when Beth sleeps on her own at night etc it'll be easier as she'll be used to it where as I foresee some big crying sessions with Harry !!
Sorry I haven't got any handy helpful tips. Maybe keep trying other nap places and she may grow to accept them. Hope you still manage to get out and about xxx

My HV said to keep daytime naps light, bright and noisy and make sure nightime is dark and quiet and when they wake at night and for night feeds no talking, eye contact etc... That way they totally seperate night and day

Does she dose off in her bouncy chair at all? Maybe in the day you could get her to nap in there as a start?
