Subject : Teething question...
my lo is 17 weeks and is clearly teething...lots of dribble/pink cheeks and irritable throughout the day and night. I'm giving him regular calpol/nurofen and the ashton and parsons teething powder.
He seems to love chewing on my fingers so i got some calgel but how do i know where to put it??? Isit always the bottom teeth that come through first? It's always his left cheek that goes bright red.
Also how long did your lo's teeth for before the actual teeth came through?
thanks xxx

Usually the bottom teeth but not always! I would put it on the top and bottom gums. You could be waiting for ages though for a tooth. We got first at 3 1/2 months but sometimes i've been convinced he's just about to get one and nothing! My lo usually gets a red cheek tho just before he pops one so you might be lucky!

also if he likes chewing on things to ease it cld u ot give him a gel feeld cool teether, ds has one of these and seems to get great relief from it, he can bite down on it and it cools his sore gums. it was his bottom two that came up first, but not always the case, with those however we had no signs, but now he's red cheeked, sore runny bum and a runy nose, so i'm guessing his top ones won't be long now xx

I usually just rub it on top and bottom gums around the front! my lo started teething at 12 weeks and got her 1st tooth at 25 weeks!!
