Subject : Never thought I would be concerned about this...!!!

Morning girls,

I have just got one of my lovely emails telling me about bean's development and how I should be doing and it says I should have gained 10-13lbs by now, but I have gained nothing, in fact I am a couple of pounds lighter than I was prepregnancy.

I had a scan yesterday which was AMAZING!! Happy Everything is perfect and bean is on the high side of average measuremnt wise (head circumference was 157mm - WOW!!!) so I am not too worried, just a bit puzzled!!!

Anyone else similar???

Love Kristen xx

I've put on more than that! My friend is a little behind me (she due 23rd April)
and she has lost quiet abit of weight, her scan said everything is measuring fine to. She has only just started having to leave her top button open on her jeans. Where i have been in maternity jeans for ages.

I certainly haven't gained anywhere near as much as that just 4-5, so I think everyone is different.

Not a pound, but I am not worried. Baby is healthy, nice strong heartbeat. Still in my 8's but a slight curve to my tum, but thats it. But as I have said b4, I only put on 10lbs with ds, my midwife and dr don't seem concerned so neither am I. I struggle to put weight on anyway and as my step-mum calls me have a "delicate build". But I am by no means skinny. I wouldn't worry hun, it's just an estimated guidline, and average added up and divded over the pregnancy, so it means buttkiss!!!

I've put on 8lbs and I'm now 19+3 but I don't think it's too bad. I seem to have had a bit of a growth spurt in the last few days.

I'm 15+6 and I've put on 3 lbs so not much and I'm not that worried - i'm eating healthily and whenever i'm hungry so i'm just assuming that everything is fine until someone tells me differrently.
On the plus side, we'll have less to lose when bubs arrives!

Hi Kristen,
If they've checked the baby and everything is the correct size I wouldn't worry about it. I'm 34 weeks and I've put on a stone and I was expecting to put on so much ore. Even last night I was out sat next to two people who hadn't noticed I was pregnant. But the little one was checked at 30 weeks and was an estimated 4lb and my belly is definitely getting bigger. I just think our bodies handle pregnancies their own way. If you need to put on the weight your body will let you know.
Good luck xxx

Hi hun,

In my first pregnancy I lost quite a lot of weight in the first few months purely because there was nothing I could keep down, baby was fine though and she was born 9lb 1oz. People are different. Like Cheezy said, if baby is developing on schedule, I'm sure everything will be fine. x

I'm not sure exactly how much I've put on as my scales are in storage, but the scales at the gym suggest about 7lbs. I'm getting a bit of a bump, but I'm not in any maternity clothes yet so I'm taking that as a good sign, the weight is the baby and not my bum and thighs LOL!
