Well bugger me so cheesed off just had a lovely BD with OH goes to loo greeted by AF - NICE!!! Eff her anyway thats two months in a row she's been early after OV or am i counting my days wrong? I think I OV'd last tues (not this one just gone the one before) reasons i think that are on the sunday night got pos OPK EWCM on monday a bit on tues & Ov pains on Tues, so i'm going with the pains for day of OV would ya say thats right or wrong?

So if OV was tues when is 1dpo? is that wednesday? & if your LP is supposed to be 14 days is it on the 14th day AF arrives (also known as CD1) or should see arrive say day 15?

basically would be grateful is someone can work out my LP if AF just showing her face today all be it shyly but she's there.

Hi hun, 1dpo would be wednesday and the day she arrives in full force is cd1. If that was friday then you had from wednesday to thursday as lp which is only 9 days, though you could possibly say 10 as I presume af was late friday night. Perhaps you get pains after you have oved.
This month I got clear posive clearblue opks sunday afternoon and monday evening. I had mild ov pains sunday-monday which were more severe monday night so I'm presuming thats when I oved but then I shouldn't really have had a positive OPK at the same time I oved. I always have gone by my pains. G was concieved a couple of hours after pains and the chem pg was the same day I had them.
I'm hoping its not af and a bit of break through bleeding. Fingers crossed.

hey chick yeah helen is right wednesday would be 1dpo and the day before AF arrived your last dpo

was it about the same last month?? maybe you should try aking vit b6 aswell as AC its supposed to help lengthen your LP i had a 9 day LP once but it seems to have settled at 12 the past few months

although saying thtat i dont have a clue whats going on this month lol

It sound like your LP is about 10 days. Mine was the same and I worried I would never get pregnant so started on Boots pregnancy multivitamins that contain B6 and agnus castus tablets as I read both extended your LP.

I got pregnant straight away that month so it may be worth a try for you too. I got agnus castus from Holland and Barrett and took 4 tablets per day until ovulation.

Hi It's Luteal Phase, and its the time between ovulation and your period.

They say the normal lengh is 14 days, but a healthy range is between 16 and 10 days (I think!).

I'm closely monitoring mine this month as I think I may have a short LP - it means that if you concieve, the baby might not have enough time to implant before your period starts. Ladies who have been on the pill for a while can suffer with short LP's, I think this can be quite common from what I've read.

You will probably gather from a few of the posts above that if you think you have a short LP there are some simple remedies such as vitamin B6 supplilments etc.

Definately AF was the same last month arrived in stops & starts for about 3 days then was in full force by monday, funny last month started on a frid too!

Right so thats 10 days then 2 months running, not great but could be worse. I took a vitamin B complex supplement which has B6 in it, but it turned my pee glow in the dark yellow!!! looked it up & all said it was too much vitamin B6 as its not stored & your body excretes surplus so i figured not much point taking it if im consuming enough to turn my pee illuminous yellow so i stopped.

OH i dunno Im wondering whether its due to my weight i've a good 3 stone to lose if not more that but then i've always been overweight to some degree since i was about 21/22 & had no trouble conceiving my other 3 or the ectopic last year, or maybe i'm just a weirdo ha!

well i was just on the beautifulcervix.com site & there was a full cycle of a lady who on day 30, 31 & 32 is just spotting which is what i am now & she counts these days as part of her LP is that right? I would have thought that even spotting is the beginning of the lining shedding no? Its all bloody confusing, but if she is right then that would leave my LP at 13 or 14 which would be great.

Does anyone else count spotting days as part of their LP?

Sometimes I have slight spotting for a few days, I count this as part of my LP as it's normally very slight and brown (sorry, TMI).

I count CD1 as the day I have full flow and when AF is a fresh red colour.......
