...at my gorgeous little man tonight.

We went swimming tonight at 6pm, got home and bathed little man and got him in his pj's. He always gets a bit dramatic waiting for his bedtime bottle - as soon as his pj's are on he knows what's coming and starts to get a bit grumpy if he has to wait for it - so hubby was trying to distract him whilst his bottle cooled down by making silly faces and doing animal impressions (which is currently their favourite pastime).

Anyway, Finn absolutely loves his daddy's grizzly bear impression and laughs every time hubby 'roars'. But tonight, every time hubby made his bear noise, Finn tried to copy it and was 'roaring' back. This continued for about 10 minutes, the two of them roaring at each other, giggling in between roars, and me almost hyperventilating I was laughing so much, tears streaming down my face.

I had to put Finn down I was laughing so hard, and as soon as he was down he took it upon himself to roll straight from his back to his tummy. Over and over again, every time I put him back on his back off he went again! It has been such a struggle to get him to roll all the way over and there he was as if to say, 'I could do it all along, mummy!'

It was so wonderful to watch, he's really come on leaps and bounds in the last few days and I can hardly believe how grown up he is already, at only 4 months today. I love him so much, he is the light of my life and I can't even remember what the world was like before he was in it. I feel a rush of love and pride every time I look at him and his beautiful smile could melt even the coldest heart. I am the luckiest woman in the world. I have the most wonderful family, just me, hubby and our boy.

Yes def record it for a nice keepsake when he's older and you can embarrass him!!

Its funny, you said he's come on leaps and bounds in the last few days, I noticed that about Summer think it was last week, in like 2 days she really seemed to develop new things!! They must have development spurts as well as growth spurts!!

Yes we're all fine thanks, got 3rd lot of jabs over and done with today, so after lots of tears she has been good as gold all day.

Aww thats so lovely and the fact he did it with both of you there was even more special. Its heartbreaking when one parent misses something.

Lisa........I must admit that I was nearly one of those people who chose not to have a baby. I felt that I didn't want to bring a baby into the world for lots of reasons but a couple of which included worries that I wouldn't be a good enough mum and that I enjoyed my life exactly as it was! Well I've had this conversation with my hubby quite a lot since having my little man but I can honestly say it was the best thing I've ever done in my life and it's the best feeling in the world having my little man and watching him learn new things everyday. There are more highs being a parent than anyone ever really lets on and the love you feel for that child takes over your whole world and consumes every single part of you.......I, for one, am so so pleased that I decided to try for a baby as he is the most precious gifts I have ever been given and I feel happier than ever before. I also feel that I'm doing quite a good job at being his mummy......although I'm sure he would tell people he'd like me to take less photo's of him!!! lol

OTM esp yours - I always wanted babies but never really thought when, it was actually my oh who came home after a few too many beers one night and said he was ready to be a dad, I came off the pill the next day!!

I personally feel very lucky to have been able to get pregnant in the first place and carry her to full term and deliver her safely into the world.
