Subject : Anyone in Norfolk? Holiday help please?
we've booked a holiday to go to Cromer country club in norfolk next march, and we're looking for things we can do with the kids there....
I was wondering if anyone on here lived near there or had any ideas?
Ollie will be almost 3, and MJ will be 1 that week
Thanks

Hi Mummy stephe I live in Norfolk! (im also on your facebook friends list too name is heidi and then surname begins with a d) so feel free to ask away!
How far would you wanting to go on days out?
Cromer and nearby Sheringham both lovely old fashioned types of towns but also on the North Norfolk coast a little further up theres Wells next the sea, Blakeney and Hunstanton which are all lovely places :)
Wells from what I can remember is lovely place and blakeney is known for having lots of seals.
Hunstanton has a sea life centre there too :)
if i think of anymore il let ya know ;)

Great advice from Heidi! I live in the Norfolk/Suffolk border and all the places she mentioned are great for kids and things to do. Wells is gorgoues and so much to do there. We went a few years ago and loved it.
I'm on your FB friends too so ask away if you want!

I live about 20 miles away from Cromer! They have a pier and lots of cromer crab!! Sheringham is nice, there is a pool called Splash with wave machines. Hunstanton has sea life centre, swimming pool, lovely seafront. Norwich is about half hour away, shopping is fab there. Wells is nice too. Xxxx

Hi MS, we went to a cottage in Castle Acre in Norfolk (between Kings Lynn and Norwich) last Spring.
We did the boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point, but although it was fab for us and the older children, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for a 1 yr old! My poor dh spent the whole time on the boat restraining our fidgetty dd!
Wells by Sea is def the place to go - lovely beach and famous fish and chip shop!
We loved Norfolk and are determined to return! Castle Acre itself is actually well worth a visit - it is a tiny place but so lovely. There is a castle ruins which you can just walk up to and clamber over - completely free! There is also a lovely tea shop and 2 child friendly pubs renowned for good grub!
Hope you enjoy planning your hols!

I used to live in Suufolk and Hubby and I went camping in Wells when we were younger, the campsite had a little train that took you to the seafront- very funny sitting on that after a few drinks!
Wells beach is gorgeous and the pier etc is nice too. Hunstanton is also good (my Mum had a caravan there) so well worth a trip.

Second all the places everyone has said. Just wanted to add that we loved Castle Acre as children (live about 5 miles from there). The ruins are fab and we used to spend whole days playing games around them. Everyone has suggested lovely places. The other thing I would recommend is the Sheringham Railway. They run the old steam trains and its a great day out to lots of different places that are well worth visiting.
