Subject : Supriseing Myself!

Hi Ladies

As you may know i sadly had another early MC this week. Sad

I went to see my Gp yesterday & the bleed also started. My doctor was realy lovely about everything & took the time to talk through things with me.

In a desperate bid for some awnsers ive been doing some research on PCOS & MC. Ive discovered that PCOS sufferers can be at an increased risk of MC & recurrent MC. Usualy it can be due to clotting issues with blood or insulin levels.

I spoke to my Gp about what i had researched & she was happy to disscuss it. She tried to reassure me not to give up hope & that if one if these issues was a contributing factor they could try & help by perscribeing Metformin &/or baby asprin!

I still have my appointment with the consultant on 9th Dec & she thinks he will def be able to try & help.

Although im still deverstated & trying to come to terms with whats happened, im actually very suprised at how well im copeing! I even feel slightly hopeful that maybe i can be helped. i know ive got a long way to go but talking to my doctor realy has helped & ive found comfort in finding that maybe just maybe a combination of treatment may get me my muched longed for sticky bean in the future.

thankyou for all your kind words & support over this sad time & hope all you ladies ore well.
Sening you all loads of supersticky babydust xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Smile

It's nice to know you are feeling so positive hon. But dont be surprised or hard on yourself if you do experience a dip. Just take each day one at a time. But while on your positive stream, keep going. You have a lot of strength, particularly deciding to go this alone without your OH's support, which we all completely understand your reasons why.

I haven't heard of taking Metformin but I did discuss baby asprin with my consultant after our mmc last year. Ive seen others bring it up in the forums too. So its def worth a try - it just thins the blood to prevent clotting.

Find out what you can before your appt on the 9th and go in armed with lots of questions so they can help form a plan for you.
You are dealing with this amazingly well, so proud of you.

Big hugs xx

Well done on feeling so positive hun. Thats good that you could have a good talk to your GP about how youve been feeling.

I would def speak to your consultant they may be happy to run some blood tests to check for sticky blood amongst other things. Were having these tests at the moment. Take care sweetie xx

Thankyou girls

Laujai, please let me know how you get on with the tests. Could i ask you of you dont mind what tests they are doing & is your OH having any blood work done? Its just that i mentioned i had an appointment with the consultant the other day & OH actualy asked if i would like him to book time off work so he could come with me! I asked if he would be prepared to have bloods done & he actulay said yes!

Im still very down, i would have been 12 weeks exactly on christmas day,so i know it will be very hard for me this year.

Hiya PS, am so impressed with how strong you're being about all this honey. I really am so sorry you're having to go through this sweetie, but I really do think you will have that sticky bean very soon. It may just take a little extra help to get there. Big hugs and we're here for you if you do have a down day xxx

I'm so sorry that you are going through this again but glad that you seem to have a really supportive doctor.

I hope that when you see your consultant they offer you tests for recurrent miscarriages. I've had 7 miscarriages and really had to push to get tests done after my 4th. They are very simple blood tests for you and your OH and could give you the answers you so desperately need.

Big hugs
xx
