I've just stumbled upon this, and thought that you may find it interesting. It is basically saying that from a side view of your baby's genitals (the nub) you can tell from your 12 week scan whether it is a boy or girl, based on the angle of the nub (So don't look at this website if you don't want to know!!). Up until reading this i've been thinking that i was carrying a girl, but my scan photo would suggest that it's another little boy (i think)!! Its definitely straight across not upwards.... wonder if there is any truth in this. Guess I will find out on the 18th Nov, anyone else checked their scan yet? xx

Dont' think it helps that baby is lying the wrong way around - ah well, it keeps our surprise secret! xx

A really big fork on the end of it tho!!! I think it is across, I think girly! heard heartbeat today, a train for sure....boy??!! Arghh, I want to know, but I so want a surprise too!!!

I have a feeling it's a boy though. I'm not finding out either. Will be very interesting to see if it's right for those finding out at 20 weeks! Hayley xx 18+2

For a moment I thought you had an identical scan photo to me (they are quite similar)... ha ha. I'm also pleased that you think it could possibly be a girly... It is a close call because of the curved spine, but I thought it looked like another little boy, and have been 'preparing' myself ever since reading this webpage as I would secretly love a girl (Im ashamed to admit this as healthy is what is important!) I also think your little beanie is a girl. what does anyone else think??

I does look similar lol. A girl would be easier got all stuff from dd (only 16 months plus sil had a girl last april) lol, although my OH thinks boy n named beanie our boy name lol

I can only make out the nub on one of my scan pics (which are from around 11-12 weeks which is a bit less accurate according to the article) and it looks quite similar to yours 1boy1girlnbeanie. I think it looks girlie but the spine is quite curved. It is forked though which may mean girlie?? Hope so - I'm just like you mummylonglegs - I know healthy is important but can't help thinking pink!!! xxx 18+5
