I think it's up to you and how you feel. They don't even do anything at the 6 week check anyway. With my first son I started swimming again when he was 4 weeks old. This time round I don't have the time for swimming but have been watching what I eat and walking 2 hours every day since Emerson was 2 weeks old. Just do what you feel you can manage.

I had to go to the gp for something at 5 weeks so he did our 6 weeks check up then, and like girl1980 said he didn't actually do anything to check me over. I asked if I could start exercising and he said as long as I feel I can and I start off slow.
I'd say you are good to go now as long as you take it slow.

I've been power walking with the double buggy for 3 weeks now and Oscar is only5 weeks too. I'm not dieting though as he's a hungry baby and I'm bf.

I'm planning on going to buggy exercise sessions at my local sports centre once we've had 6 week check, just said that time to sort childcare for Isaac rather than waiting for go ahead. Excercise is really only an issue if you've had a c-section.

Not even thinking of dieting until after Christmas.... seems such a waste to put in all the effort to be faced with Christmas!! So, am planning on it after Christmas - I have 1.5stones to loose.
