You'll be able to inspect Sam's later! We used dentinox on him last night and it now looks really red so not going to use it again! Apparently, olive oil overnight, and then you can lift it off the next day? xx

i used baby oil and dentinox shampoo. i poured some baby oil on her head in the bath then used cotton wool to rub it in, then gave it a little pick (more like a really gentle scrach) to lift the thicker patches then washed er hair in dentinox twice to get rid of the left over oil and flakes. it does make it look worse before it gets better. i did this for a couple of days and it cleared almost completely. i then used the dentinox about once or twice a week to keep it under control so it didnt get thick again. once they have lots of hair and it starts growing it all seems to go away. now i just used johnsons no more tears and it hasnt come back at all

I tried all the treatments with Abby's - olive oil was much better than the shampoo's you can get - but still didn't clear up Abby's.

In the end I tried washing her hair in dreamwash (from Lush) and then rubbing dreamcream into her scalp - it was all clear the next day!!! AND the excema on her face had cleared up too.

I used oliatum junior a few times a day. I was also advised after bathing to really scrub his head. Dont be afraid to it the HV said....give it a good rub!! We did this and it had gone within a few days. Not 100%sure it was cradle cap, but whatever it was its gone!!

Beware though, oilatum stinks!!x

we got given 2 sachets of Oilatum Scalp treatment shampoo off the health visitor as it was really bad, used them twice a week and our twice daily olive oil and she has a beautiful head!

If it's bad they will prescribe ketaconazone shampoo, we have this ready just incase, but it looks like we are done!

same as Sainy ... olive oil, just make sure you wash it out in the morning and then do it again the next night for about a week and it should be much better ... we have to repeat every couple months tho as it comes bakc otherwise and Doc's said that's all you can do until they grow out of it

apparently the cold weather that's coming will also help it get better

Hi

My youngest had quite stubborn cradle cap. I had used olive oil with my eldest which shifted it so tried this with my youngest and also tried dentinox cradle cap shampoo but it wasn't going.

They say not to scrub it or try to pick it off but eventually after using the shampoo or the olive oil I would use a baby comb and gently brush through her hair which started to lift it and after a couple of nights it was gone and never came back.

Yep Luke had the start of it and HV said olive oil, much cheaper as well. After 2 days it had worked a treat but used it for a bit longer and we have been fine ever since.

Olive Oil over night is definately the best. I used to put it on at night then comb in through the next morning and then wash it off.

Hi.

I use dentinox shampoo on a daily basis and it's fab! However charlie ( 7 months) got it so bad his head was bleeding. The doctor gave me a special shampoo which i use twice a week and it's cleared it right up now!
