hey everyone, not been on for a while, things have been pretty mental with work and stuff, hope ur all well!

anyway, this morning i was on my way to work and got a phonecall off OH who was in tears and not making much sense, i could hear JJ screaming in the background, i managed to make out that he'd fallen and cut his head open so i started shouting at OH to phone an ambulance (was on the bus at the time so god knows what the people must have thought) and i'd get off the bus, so i rushed to the front of the bus and demanded to be let off, i then RAN to the hospital (about 20 mins) with tears streaming down my face and trying to calm down enough to tell my boss what had happened....

so i got to the hospital and they weren't there yet, i was thinking allsorts at this point and couldn't get in touch with OH so was just stood there crying cuz i didn't know what was going on! eventually managed to speak to OH who said the ambulance men had been playing with JJ on the floor while he had gone to change out of his pjs anyway managed to get some sense out of him and it turns out he'd fallen over one of his toys and into the tv stand

my poor baby...

he's ok now, eating and drinking fine, OH is just sitting in his bedroom while he goes to sleep to try and stop him rubbing it...soooo stressed and tired

UPDATE.......

well he had his dressing changed yesterday and the cut looks great, healed really well, he has fresh steri strips on but i can leave them off if he pulls them off cuz it's healed so well he's all bruised on the side of his face above his ear (sort of in his hair) but i'm so happy, it could have been much worse, thanks for all the messages x

oh my gosh - your poor boy. it sounds like a real scare. i'm not sure whether i feel more sorry for your hubby who obviously panicked completely and was completely distraught or you because it was so out of your control and you didn't know exactly what was happening. I hope you boy feels better soon and you and your hubby manage to have a relaxing evening. x

Mrsjbourne - I'm so sorry to hear about your son! Poor little thing! My son banged is head on the side of the piano today and has got a lump at the back of his head. But nothing like what happend to you.

Hope he is better soon and give him a big hug from us!

Oh bless him, poor little mite - and big hugs to you too! My lo had a fight with the bottom of the radiator while trying to get himself up a few months ago and ended up needing his eyebrow glued, and I was a mess - he was much braver than me! It's horrible seeing them hurt, but I bet JJ will forget about it in no time, if he hasn't already - think my lo had by the time we got home from the hospital.

Aw bless him, i hope he is feeling better soon.
Its awful when you get that sort of phone call i got one from A&E to tell me my hubby and dd had been in a dar accident and to hurry and get there, i was a shop manager at the time and had to wait for my assistant to come back off her dinner then i jumped in a taxi and went straight to hospital crying my eyes out thinking the worst then the taxi driver said its not the car that was crushed by the bus is it? i started screaming then, when i got to A&E dd was fine except whiplash and a big bruise from the seat belt but hubby was a little worse off as he had a little swelling on his brain and was unconsious and had whiplash etc but was fine eventually, i was so relieved to see them.

oh my god this is where i am just the worst parent cus i just crumble when my lo hurts herself!! huge huge hugs to you all. im filling up just looking at his face!!!! i do everything inmy power to stop daisy hurting herself and it really winds my oh up im constantly buffering her and forseeing accidents but i cant help it. she fell on her hands and face yesterday in the car park and grazed her mouth jesus it kills me cus you know how much it stings!!! i hope he is ok xxxxx bless

bless him poor little guy! hope that he recovers soon. its so horrible when they hurt them selves, you just wish that it was you, but unfortunatly its all part of growing up.
freya was tryin to go down the steps in my mils garden last week whole she was looking after her, she fell off and smashed her lip and it just swelled up so much she looked like a duck bless her. it swelled up so much that the skin split open and she had a huge cut on it. luckily its almost gone now, but you just feel so bad.

Aww only just seen this poor little thing. Glad his head is healing well though. I'm dreading Rhys's first "accident" especially if he's anything like me as I was constantly in plaster as a child.

Glad he's getting better. Must've been horrible for you. Sometimes i jst wish i could wrap my lo up in cotton wool to stop her hurtn herself! x

Only just seen this! Poor JJ, I winced at the 1st photo. Glas he's ok now though (albeit the cut).

Charlotte has not yet hurt herself bad, just little bumps and a grazed knee. She now tries to walk backwards though and scares me when she gets anywhere near our granite hearth!!

Looks like he's healing brilliantly, and the redness on his face has gone down so well! So pleased he's getting better - shouldn't have too much of a scar by the look of it

Bless him, he is such a cutie. I'm glad he's doing so well. X x
