Hi Karen
Skye's got her jabs tomorrow afternoon too. Not looking forward to it at all, she'll know better what's going this time around : (
What with the teething pain as well she's not going to have a fun week!
I'll be thinking of Cariad too x

hi Iz. planning on giving her some calpol about 2 hours before, did this with her 12 and 16 week jabs and the crying/screaming only lasted a few seconds so hoping it will help this time too.

know what you mean about them being more aware of what is happening so dreading this lot more than before

I gave some Calpol before last time and got told off by the nurse! Not sure what to do, but she'll probably have had some anyway to help ease the fang pain!
I've just had my flu jab this evening so I'll be sharing the pain too!

all was well. she didnt even cry straight away, she only cried about 20 seconds after the needle came out then only for about a 1 minute. while we were waiting the 10 minutes afterwards she was trying to jump of my lap to go play so she was right as rain. we came home and as it was past her nap time she went straight to sleep.

WHat a brave Cariad!

SKye cried for about 5 seconds after the jab was done and then the nurse gave her 2 chocolate buttons to take her mind off it all!
Half expecting her to have a bit of a temp tomorrow and over the weekend though.

We talked about the MMR while we were there, and she warned us to expect a possible reaction in way of a fever etc after 7-10 days because of the Measles part, and then another bout after 3 weeks because of the Mumps bit, great.

Think I'll put it off until after Xmas and NY as we're going away!
