Subject : Baby Bond.... What are your experiences?

Hi i am having a Scan on Monday at Baby Bond in Manchester. I have paid £100 for the Scan because i had a MC 2 years ago and i am a nervous wreck.

Im just wondering what happens at these scans? I will be 9+4 pregnant. Will it be very like your 12 week one?

The reason why i am asking with it being expensive im wondering what they actually do and do they give you a picture and check that the baby is doing well?

I don't object to paying this money as i would like reasurance and as i said i am so nervous and worried.

Any help would be great. Thanks xx

Hi hun

I had an NT scan at babybond Manchester when I was 13 and a bit weeks and the actual scan was amazing.

The only hiccup was that they called me on the morning of the scan to put it back half an hour and I didn't get the message so was sat outside in my car waiting for them to open....

However all that aside the experience itself was amazing. The staff were really friendly and it was much much better than the NHS 12 week one. The one I had on the NHS was over and done with in 5 minutes but babybond spent about 35 minutes showing us all sorts of different things (albeit that that was partly because bubs was in an awkward position). They've also got a big projector screen in front of you on the wall so you're not craning your nexk to see the baby on the tiny screen.

Also becuase baby was a bit bigger she showed us fingers, toes, internal organs etc. I was really impressed, Aside from the fact that there was a testing element to the scan that really put my mind at ease it was easily worth the £140 we paid. Hubby also really enjoyed it as he felt a bit rushed by the NHS one.

Hope you enjoy it!

Hi

We had babybond scans at 10, 16, 27 and 34 weeks and they are fantastic, they spend alot more time on the scans and you get lovely photos. They 10 week one for me was for reassurance due to bleeding but they are really fab...

My Babybond scan told me about my twins at 10 weeks and I absolutely loved it. The experience was amazing. They were very kind (I was rather shocked at being told there were 2 in there! lol!) and looked after me, letting me have a break and then scanning me again when I had calmed down a little! We got lots of pictures and they checked everything really carefully. Would definitely pay again given the opportunity.

Gemma, Ryan and Alfie (4 weeks 2 days)
