Just a little update. Went to the doctors this afternoon and saw the nicest lady doctor ever! She was really sympathetic and has scheduled me in for a blood test next week to check everything's ok. Phew! I'm so pleased I went :) She very nicely told me to chill out a bit and put a bit of romance back into our bding. hee hee. She thinks I'm probably stressing too much about it which isnt helping it's return.

She also said that once a lot of women have had their bloods tested, their af comes soon after as it's that bit of peace of mind that helps things along.

Sorry if this post makes no sense to some people but I hope it does for those other little group of af-absentees who I've been chatting to!

Great to hear there's some progress, Sally. Strangely enough, my first af appeared today after stopping my pill at the end of Sept 09 and having not had a period for over 8 years, I thought it would take longer! I've never been so glad to see my af, now the OH and I can get on properly TTC, now we have some dates to go with. Good luck and keep me posted, x

I must admit that tonight I bought a pregnancy test on the way home and it was negative - I knew it would be but I couldn't settle til I'd done it. Feel a bit gutted even though I knew it would be - what an idiot I am!!

Have decided to wait til this time next month then if still no AF I will also be paying the docs a little visit.

Ah RubyShoes so sorry to hear of your BFN, you are not an idiot at all, with no AF to go by it is very difficult to know what is going on and of course you will feel dissapointed at a negative, even if you expected it.

If it makes you feel any better, I bought 15 cheapy tests from ebay and in 2 weeks I have already used 4 of them!!! I have decided that at 30p a test, i can use them to satisfy my obsession until AF comes!!!

I always panic when AF is late and everytime i have a blood pregnancy test and it comes back negative AF will arrive that day or the next day!!! It is just stress sometimes!!!xx

And you're not an idiot at all RubyShoes! When i was on my opk obsession, i bought 70 ovulation tests and 10 pregancy tests....i'd used all the pregnancy tests by the 2nd week! ha ha. I was so naive..i think i took my first one about 10 days after i stopped taking my pill. How fast did i think i could get pregnant??!ha ha. I did my last pg test just over a week ago and i was sooo convinced that we'd done it. Was gutted when it was a BFN.

How cute will it be though when we'll all be talking about bumps :) I sooooo cant wait!!!xxx
