Subject : Exercise during conception

Hi there,

I miscarried in September and am now ready to try again. My question is though that if I exercise during conception, will the egg still be able to attach itself to the uterine wall or will too much movement dislodge it (make it fall off, so to speak). I haven't exercised in the 2 months since the miscarriage but before then used to go jogging every other night.

I look forward to hearing from someone asap.

Thanks, Confused

Sorry for your loss sweetie.

It is recommended that you exercise to keep fit when TTC and also during pregnancy. As far as I know it's only during pregnancy you may need to change your exercise plan but it more to do with making sure you don't get out of breath or have a fall.

Thanks DangerMouse! I have a 3 year old son and I remember exercising all the way through that pregnancy, obviously like you say the later you are the less you do! BUT as I have just had a miscarriage, I didn't want to do anything that would risk not falling pregnant again!

DM is right, it is fine to carry on with anything you already do, once you are pg you will have to reduce impact exercise and be careful with some abs workouts because of your back but you must keep fit for labour xx hope you get your sticky one soon xx
