Subject : I'm new, and thought I would introduce myself here!

Hi,

Just joined and thought I would say hi. Hubby and I are hoping to start trying for a baby next year, when we get back from Florida in April. I have had my tubes tied, so it will have to either be a reversal or IVF. I have two sons (aged 10 and 11) from a previous marriage, but we would love one of our own.

I was just wondering if there was anyone on here in a similar situation? We have an appointment in 5 weeks time to discuss further which option is best. We had a meeting with the Fertility Doctors just before our wedding in December, so I know that a reversal could end in ectopics, or months/years of wating, then maybe no results so have to have IVF anyway, or straight to IVF, which could take a few tries and is very expensive.

I know I am lucky to have two sons already. My eldest has Autism, and there is only 11 months in between them. After having the boys, my then, husband turned violent, so it wasn't easy. I really thought I would never be in a position to have more children, hence the tubal tie. My son's are the most amazing children, and we have a fantastic relationship. I would love a baby with my husband, and the boys asked at the wedding if they could have a baby sister or brother now (awww). It would be a wonderful experience to bring up one baby in a happy atmosphere, and I am terrified nothing will work.

Anyway, that's me. Thanks for reading xxx
