Subject : feeling freaked out
I freaked out totally yesterday. I dont know why. I want a baby so much as does husband. But I just got scared. So scared it frightened me a bit. The only other time i have felt like this was on my hen do and it struck me... but that was a lot easier to cope with as it was only one day... this is ... life.
Is it usual to freak out occasionally?
I am soooo torn, 50% 50% whether to keep trying.
I know it sounds dumb, but if i found out i was preg tomorrow i would be sooo happy and just get on with it but I know I am scared to actually be 'trying'... i dont know, i dont even think i am making any sense today. Urgh.
I am also trying to get a part time job to tie me over xmas etc, but am worried if i get preg then i won't be able to do my job or be employable if i dont get one straight away.
I need a cup of tea to chill out. My brain is in over drive.
Not really expecting much in the way of replies as I know I haven't been overly coherant... cheers ladies, xxxx

Hi Rosemary
firstly here is a hug and an internet cup of tea! To be honest i dont think its unusual to be a bit frightened from time to time, TTC is a massive thing and although it is exciting and all that it is also scary as is with most things unknown. i was feeling like you a couple of weeks ago and i came on her asking for the truth of having a child and got some great advise and support, i learnt from it that no one knows if you are ready more then you do yourself, the time might not ever be 100% right but right enough, only you know what is best for you - but you say you are 50 /50 each way so it might be best to sit down with your other half and talk things through, i was only 80/20 in favour of TTC when i had my little wobble and i feel 100% sure now, my BFP cant come quick enough.
just a thought.... live dosent give you more then you can handel.
sorry if im talking rubish now too- perhapse its cathcing lol good luck what ever you decide xxx

Dont really know what to say, sorry. It seems like there are a lot of things going on which are stressing you out that may not just be to do with getting pregnant.
Why not have a break from trying if you have done so for a while and spend some time with ur husband just as you two and take things from there maybe.
Hope that helps H x

Yep totally normal!!! I have spent the past few months freaking out and I already have kids! Strangely enough I didn't freak out the first time...I think that was niavety!!
It's a massive thing- it's life changing. It is when your planning to add to your family as well. It's completely normal to be scared. I think you can definatly over think these things and keep going round and round in circles...thats what I have been doing about trying for number 3. The only way to do it is to simplify things- you know you want a baby- and it will be wonderful. Seraphina- your thought process example made me howl!!! Just like my own!!!
I am the same as you with the job thing at the moment, but I've decided to keep trying and keep looking. What will be will be.

It is normal to have a wobbles, at least I hope it is because I have had them lots of times!
We've been trying on and off for 3 years, more off than on as I scare easily. Worry about money, how ds will feel having to share us, can I cope with sleepless nights again etc etc. Now at 34 I feel it's now or never. You can't plan your life, mad things happen like the recession (and my redundancy!) that you don't expect. Life is for living, you only get one life so make sure it's a good one and you do what you want to do!
I agree keep ttc because at the end of the day you wouldn't have started ttc if it wasn't what you really wanted.
I think us ladies are natural worriers and in my case I over analyse and end up worrying that I worry too much. It's daft!
Here's to BFP's for everyone, it'll be scary and life changing but soooo worth it.
OMG I waffle too much! lol

Hi Rosemary!
I know how you feel, I sometimes stop and think I will never be able to spend loads of money on clothes/skincare/shoes again!!
About the whole job situation, do what ever you feel is best... I always write down a list of positives and negatives of any situation I am in and which list is bigger, I go with that!
Write down a negative and positive list about having a baby and see which one you feel strongly about :) Hope that helps in someway! lol
I agree with you Meem, ladies are natural worriers! My Fiance hates that I worry about EVERYTHING!
