Subject : Am I mental? worrying because bubs is moving MORE!?

I apologise in advance if this is a completely nutty question but I just can't help it.

I'm 26 weeks and 3 days pregnant and over the last week, (and in particular over the last few days) I feel like bubs is moving all day every day. Now I know she's getting bigger and more active as time goes on but I've actually found myself worrying that she's in some sort of distress and that's why she's wriggling around all the time.

Am I compoletely mental???

Also has anyone else had really significant increase in the amount of movement at this stage??

Just so that you all know I have made my peace with the fact that by even thinking this my marbles might be well and truly lost.....

We are never happy, either worrying they are not moving enough or too much. My bump was mental for s few days, then i was really worried coz it seemed to be hardly moving at all, to the extent i was thinking about phoning the mw. Now since yesterday its off again. I had loads of BH last night, and when i went to bed baby was turning around. Its had its head at the top and i could feel it moving first side to side and moving all the way round, i think to the right place. Its been much quieter today.

My theory (and im not medically trained) is that when they are a bit uncomfy they wriggle and when they are in a nice comfy place they are quiet. They are prob comfy then after they have grown a bit, they have to wriggle again.

If you are really worried MN dont hesitate to contact MW/GP but i think everyone prob feels the same

Hi MN

I am 26+6 and was worrying about this just last night! Over the past few days Baby has been moving non-stop, to the point where it's actually uncomfortable! He is particularly active at night and from 5am - it almost feels like he is trying to escape! :)

I have assumed it's just because he's had a growth spurt so I can feel him more now. But I did worry that he was uncomfortable or disressed! Mind you I also worried last week when he went a bit quiet - I'm never satisfied!

Apparently this is their most active time (24 to 28 weeks) as they are getting bigger but still have plenty of room to wiggle.

xx

Oh Cath that sounds exactly the same! Can't believe after waiting so long for movement that I'm now worrying about it. Didn't realise that about 24-28 week period. Will hope she calms down in a couple of weeks so I can get some sleep! xxx

I had this last week, was like a constant party in there! Asked midwife about it and she said you can never have too many movements.
