How long does your beby lay on his or her own before thye get bored and whinge to be picked up. My little man will lay on his own for about 20 mins while i can get on with things then he starts to whinge as i assume he gets bored. Its not a problem but just wandered if this was about the right amount of time or if i was picking him up too soon as i don't want him to get used to being picked up all the time and getting too spoilt.

Hi my little girl is about the same although we do tend to leave her a bit longer at night and she will tend to settle herself eventually but in the day i pick her up as she seems to get bored!!

Think its bout the same for us. if JAke is having a wide awake day he will sometimes lay in his basket for a bit then i will pick him up and we have a sing song play lol and then he usually goes back to sleep for a bit. likes his swing for about 15 mins before he gets bored. xx
