Looby - thanks hon. Been surprisingly stress free so far. Am feeling so positive about it...I know it may not work but at least there's a chance it will! Hubbie has been fab. Hope all is well with you.

Claire-ski - yes it's all happening so quickly now...thanks sweetie. The injections I'm having are really not bad at all.

I'm still feeling ok, although a little bit tired and tender today. Looking forward to finding out how many follicles there are at my scan. Bit nervous though xx

Thanks so much PS and SIM, really appreciate your messages. I was feeling really positive, although had a bit of a TOTAL meltdown yesterday unfortunately...not really sure why, probably just all the hormones. But back to feeling positive again now. Although I have now got a cold and am worried it will affect the chances of sucess or that they might cancel my cycle....????

PS, hope you're doing ok sweetie....big hugs xxx

SIM, wow you're going to be a mummy any day now. Loads of luck xx

TBD i admire your pma, everyone needs a meltdown day once in a while- even if its just to get rid of tension, you've got an awful lot on your plate and bound to find it a bit much sometimes!
glad the injections are going well and you coping with them, in all honesty that is the part i am most worried about, when we get our chance to go down that road i don't know how i am going to pluck up the courage! look forwards to hear how your journey continues.
hope your cold goes soon!
xx

Hey ladies,
Thanks again for your lovely comments.

Lolsie - thanks sweetie, that's really kind of you. i think you're right that I just needed to let go of the tension from the week of putting on a brave face at work when inside I'm feeling pretty nervous. Honestly hon, the ones I'm having are not even really injections. the real-life size of the needles is like this:

---------

It is literally teeny, I barely feel it when DH does it for me. Just a scratch. You'll be fine hon. It seems like a small price to pay if we get a baby at the end of this. Hope you get your turn for IVF soon sweetie.

Gem - thanks hon. that's really sweet of you. Hope you're doing ok matey....that BFP could be just around the corner.

xxx

It is definaely ok, and completely normal, to have a meltdown or a low day. With ivf you are seriously altering your hormones (all in a good cause though!) so you are bound to feel a little all over the place. 2 of my best friends are going through ivf, one has since fallen pg on her 2nd cycle, the other is doing her 3rd round now but with a much better consultant (her first one was crap to say the least). But one thing they said was that there hormones were a little all over the place during each go. Particularly the first time as your body is wondering what's going on! So ride it out, the results in the end will make it all a thing of the past. Tomorrow is another milestone with your scan so fingers crossed for you everything will be on track!

Thanks for the good luck wishes too. Keep looking forward for yourself as there is no reason why the dream won't become a reality for you too. In my opinion, the harder it is to fall pg it really makes it more valued when you finally do, and it makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable (you wouldn't even dream of complaining about ANYTHING like so many others tend to do...) so it makes it all the more special.

xx

Just wanted to wish you all the best for tomorrow...i hope that there are lots of lovely follicles.

In the meantime get your OH to make you a honey, lemon and ginger hot drink - i swear by it to get rid of a cold when it's just starting.

Everything is crossed for you honey.

Sim - thanks honey, what a lovely message. Really appreciate hearing about your friends....gives me hope hearing positive endings. Good to hear my behaviour is 'normal' under the cirumstances. I tried telling my hubbie that but he doesn't really understand. He seemed to think that because I had a screaming fit our chances are ruined for this cycle, which has only added to the pressure unfortunately. And now I have a cold I do feel a bit less PMA, but am trying to hold onto that dream of a big growing bump and kiddies running around in the garden to keep me going.

WWAF - thanks sweetie. Hmm I should get another H&L - have had 2 already since it started last night so hoping I'm fighting it off and it isn;t swine flu, because that will mean they cancel my cycle....and we still have to pay!

Cheers ladies. You continued support means a lot xxx

Hi TBD,

Good luck for your scan tomorrow :)

The nurse will probably ask you to write down the size of the follicles as she measures them. I scribbled a copy down for myself aswell and also wrote down the thickness of the uterus lining. I knew it would be the only way | could remember!

xxxxx
