Subject : Weight Loss PCOS clinic.
Hi ladies
Had a follow up appointment with my consultant today to check my progress and came away feeling really crap!
I haven't seen this one before, but basically she kept going on about my weight and how it's effecting my chances of conceiving, higher risk of diabetes in pregnancy and I do want a healthy pregnancy/baby etc.
It really upset me.
I already feel bad given its me with all the problems but hearing this made me feel even worse especially given I find it so different to loose weight!
It has made me more focused though and as i want that BFP so badly, maybe its the kick up the bum I need.
Apparently, just loosing 10% of your body weight can help regulate your cycles. For me, that means loosing 1stone 4lbs. I know christmas is coming up but i'd happily cut down on food and alcohol this christmas if it will help me get my BFP!
I wondered whether any of you lovely ladies would like to join me in my quest to shed some pounds. I could do with the support and I am sure I am not the only one out there.
I propose we check in every Tuesday with our weight loss results.
Anybody up for this?

Mrs Wright - I could do with losing 4 stone but I am starting with 2 and 1/2 because it is more realstic!
I have just started the cambridge diet again yesterday so just shakes for me this week but last time I did it I lost 9 1/2 pound in 2 weeks!

Fab idea Suzannah - I will join the week after next though as off on holiday on Sat for a week and have decided its one last blow out before the major diet! aiming to lose 2 stone by end of Feb, need to lose about 4 stone in total but starting with half the target.
I totally sympathise with you all the dr's/consultants ever say is 'lose weight' its easy for them to say it but very hard to lose it. My sister started slimming world in Jan and has avoided green days - carbs as these are no good for PCOS and she has lost 7 stone since then! she weighed 24 stone when she started.
I am sure we will all be on that forum saying that we are pregnant soon.
keep smiling girlies x x x

Hi ladies welcome onboard.
butterfly -congratulations on losing the weight so far thats fab news - keep up the good work.
Mrs Wright - be interested to know how you get on with the cambridge diet. I keep hearing good things about this but don't know how I would manage with just milkshake! Is it expensive?
Sparkle27 - thanks for your positive words of encouragement - please feel free to give us some motivation every now and then!
Abip - i'm so jealous you're going away - anyway hot?

Sorry only half my reply posted
I have been really bad this week eating everything in sight so going to see my cambridge lady and starting again properly on saturday - funny day i know but i am a bit strange i am also going to go back to the gym as i havent been for nearly a week!
it is £1.90 per shake and u can either have 3 a day and a small meal or 4 a day - 4 a day gives you extreme weightloss and that is what i am going to do next week.
If you want to do it and need a support partner as it is very hard - just give me a shout!
Are you ladies all on metafomin aswell i have been on them for 2 weeks havent had any side effects or noticed any different
Good Luck with the weight loss ladies and will report in on tuesday with my results!

butterfly it sounds similar to that lipotrim that i did n it was bloody hard, 1 of my friends kept it up for about 3 months n lost 58lb!!! wish i could do it but i just dont have the will power!!
I've been trying out new thinking this week, every time i want 2 eat something naughty i've been telling myself "eat this n it means u cant have a baby", seems 2 be doin the trick a bit better than the prospect of not bein able 2 fit in a pair of size 10 jeans (coz quite honestly i'd rather have a chocolate bar than be a size 10 anyday ha ha)!!
I've been 2 the gym 3 times this week aswell n goin again 2night n 2moro so we'll see what the scales say on tues!!!
How's evey1 else gettin on?? has every1 started their diets now?? xx

I know I have no will power when it comes to anything still battling smoking! i am back to the gym tomrorow and have started back on the shakes now!
I need to think like that about the baby cos frankly i dont think i will ever be a size 10 haha! i would be hally a comfortable 14 instead of squeezing in size 16s!

Hi Girls
Just wanted to ask if you have room for 1 More!
I desperately need to shed some weight. I need to loose about 3 stone to get my BMI to around 29.
For now im just aiming for 1 & a half stone.
Ive put weight on over the past 3 years after the Dad sadly past away then my first MC. Sadly i had my second MC just this week.
ive read that reduceing you BMI by just 1 point increases your chances of conception by 4%!
Ive decided on eating 3 small meals & exerciseing like a demon in a bid to shift some weight before i see my consultant on Dec 9th.
Heres to seeing less of us in the near future & Hopeing we all get our sticky BFPs very soon!

Hi,
Is there room for one more?
I'm starting a gluten-free diet on Saturday, as it seems to help alot of women with PCOS. Just trying to figure out what to eat. Can i weigh in on a Saturday please?
