Subject : I just don't get it!!

I wish there were rules and signs that tell you exactly when you OV!

I started my heavy bleed for mc 4 weeks ago today and I thought I was now 14DPO (had loads of EWCM and the last day of it was 14 days ago - this is what happened when I got pg b4 so presumed the same!)

Tested yd and got BFN and still no sign of af yet, in fact had terrible af pains at the weekend which have now gone completely.

I know it can take 4-6 weeks for af to show after mc and am totally expecting it to - I just had it in my head it would be by now because it's 4 weeks and I had all the signs of OV. It never happens how I expect and every single month I'm surprised!! Grrrr.... My cycles have been anything from 23-31 days so early OV is possible and happened the month I got pg on CD9.

Oh well, I guess I wait for af to show, hopefully soon. Should I test at the weekend on a HPT if not here before or do you think the EWCM could just have been something else?

Thanks for all your support and advice! Anyone else had signs of OV and then not had af show for a while after mc??

xx

Hi Emily,
I hate the first cycle post mc - its always a bit of a mess, on my first my af arrived exactly 28 days after the erpc but I didn't ov, but on this one it was 5 weeks and I ov'd really late and had really confusing signs all the way through. To be honest I think your body is just really confused after a miscarriage so you just have to grit your teeth and hold on. That said, lots of people do fall pregnant directly after a mc so you never know you could be one of the lucky ones.

I think waiting until the weekend to test again is a good idea.

Good luck

Do you know Emily, I've never really understood ovulation anyway! I have tried paying attention to any ewcm, but it never seems to have a pattern to it, so without my cbfm I think I would be lost! But I agree with Lottie - I think after a mc your whole body is out of kilter, so will take a while to get back to normal. Very frustrating I know!

I know I just hate it - it's such a roller coaster all the time! The stupid thiing is i'd convinced myself i was pg this month so when i tested on Mon and got BFN i was sutted. Now af still isn't here today and it's starting all over again, thinking this could be it! I know my body is a mess.

I have a brand new CBFM which i will use if it doesn't happen this month. will keep ou posted.

Roller coaster is the exact word! One day you are up, the next you come crashing down. It's the first month for me using my cfbm and I have found it such a comfort and it feels like I am taking control of my body again, so even if your bfn is a real bfn, I'm sure using the cfbm will perk you up.
