thanks again!

it is really reassuring to hear how others have not had the sickness, and how they felt. I think if it wasnt for BE I'd be concerned, but I'm not Happy

oh and HATE that old wives tale... now just need to change all the websites/textbooks Happy

Hi,
I had little sickness or nausea until I reached 9 weeks then suddenly I felt very sick all day every day for about 1 week. At 10 weeks it wore off again. So you may even get some sickness a little later on, and you'll cherish these days you don't have it Happy

On my "due in" forum people were also comforting each other by telling the very sick ladies that they had "strong" pregnancies. I tried to ignore this, but of course it IS very worrying for someone who doesn't have sickness to hear that morning sickness means your baby is fine. I've since seen my baby and he/she was extremely active, growing just fine and heart beating strong. It is a myth. The more women I talk to, I find that the majority of them do NOT have sickness and their babies are fine. My midwife didn't even ask me if I was having sickness or not, btw, so that shows that to her it's not even an indicator of how things are going. Try not to worry honey, and just count your blessing for now that you are able to function more or less normally :)

Hey Nessie, I am from due in june too and just read this post as i've had no queasiness today and was beginning to worry about it myself too. I am 1 day behind you and 7 weeks tomorrow. Haven't had an early scan either so feeling a little on edge too. My boobs really hurt all the time but can't say i've really noticed the going to the toilet thing yet (This worries me too), i am trying to keep my fluids up but i've always been pretty useless at drinking lots of fluids anyway. Hope your feeling better. I have my first midwife appointment on friday 13th so i'm going to talk my concerns with her next week. Just hope things continue to be positive until then. Can't bear another mc. Although i am past the last one so thats got to be positive. X

Hi

I didn't have any sickness at all, and have had people say to me ah well it means you'll have a healthy baby if you do. also had the aren't you lucky to have had a stress free pregnancy. Uh, no i had an amnio at 17 weeks and would prefer sickness any day to 3 weeks of not knowing if our baby was ok. Sorry rant over... My SIL is 23 weeks and is still being sick and was admitted into hospital after loosing 10lbs due to morning sickness. I do count myself grateful that have not been sick and had very few symptoms....
