Subject : Is this AF??
Hi ladies,
Just wondering how your af is since you were diagnosed. I don't know if I have had af or if I am just spotting. EG Yesterday I had brown cm with red wiping. More than spotting but still not "flow". It's the same today.
Then it tends to clear up after about 3 days,. This has happened 3 times since my mc in Feb and is the most bleeding I have. In between I have been having some brown spotting after bd but that’s probably due to cervix cells playing up (due colposcopy soon).
Is this kind of light, infrequent unsubstantial bleeding typical of PCOS? All I have heard about is long, heavy AF’s so I’m really confused and still don’t know if I have had AF or not.
Any advice or shared stories would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Mrs Dao,
I've noticed that since I came off the pill and started on Clomid I get a lot more dark brown stuff when I first start my AF and at the end. I too started with a bit of blood yesterday evening when I wiped and then today there is just this brown stuff. The past 3 months this has developed into a proper heavy AF, made me wish for the lack of AFs again!!

Hi Mrs Dao
I'm going through the exact same thing - was just about to write a post about it and then read yours!!! I had a proper AF on 9th Nov - I'm pretty sure it was a proper one cos I really do think I ovulated a couple of weeks earlier - but it wasn't very heavy at all and only lasted 3 days rather than the normal 6. But then last week I had red spotting that lasted about 3 days and I also get brown spotting after BD'ing.
Like you, I've only read about long AF's with PCOS so really confused as to what this is. Also had abit of pain on my left - kind of where I'd assume an ovary would be - and today I almost passed out at work, was sitting down and all of a sudden was nearly on the floor - so bit concerned what is going on with me!
Sorry I havent really been a help to you - but at least you know you're not alone in this! :)
xx

hiya, i have had the same. before i had my kids that was just about all i ever had. i would have the odd random day of propper bleeding with no real pattern to it, and then just a brownishe discharge other times that you couldnt really call a period.
i was on the pill in between having my girls and never had a propper period btween comming off it and concieving dd2. but since having dd2 they have been a bit better i didnt have one for 13 months after she was born but since then they have been the most regular they have ever been any hting between 14 and 50 days, but for me that it like clock work, lol. some times they are heavy and apinfull and some times they are jsut like you describe.
so once again not much help but you are definatly not alone. x

MrsDao that's exactly what mine was like when I took Norethisterone and I wasnt sure whether it was AF or not. I dont have PCOS according to the docs but I do have a lack of Af so god knows what's wrong with me! xx
