If you are looking for biodegradable ones (much nicer to the environment) then Bambo nappies are great. The only hitch is that you can only order them online, but I have 3 other girls in my NCT group using them now, and so we just do a bulk order now and then and borrow off each other if we run out in the meantime. We tried the naturecare ones and the sainsbury own brand but found the leaked. Although, in all honesty we didn't start using the bambo ones until the explosive poo stage was almost over.

So far (boys are 4 weeks old) I have found that Pampers Micro were great when they were born as they were 5lb 5 each but, since they have grown a bit, I have found the Tesco own brand newborn to be the best. Dont like Huggies and next stage Pampers are too big.

I have always used Pampers with my children, simply because i don't like huggies and they brought my ds out in blisters, the one time i did try them (obviously rare for that to happen)
I've also tried Tesco own brand and thought they were brill up until i moved my son up from the first stage and i found that they dont seem to adsorb as much x

TBH I have used Newborn size 1&2 in pampers and huggies and both have been fine, no leaks or irritation even though she has sensitive skin. Would favour the pampers though as the huggies seem smaller on the legs and she has her mummies thighs!! LOL!

Monster in law bought a million huggies so working my way through those at the mo. Def getting pampers next time though.

G/C from born in Sept :-( missing my pregnant belly!! xxxxx

I loved Tesco's own brand for my daughter who's now 2 - I'm using them again for my 5 week old. They are soft, well fittig and really absorbant. Huggies are quite 'stiff' and the elastic made really bad marks on my daughters legs and bums. They were both average weight 7lbs9 and 7lbs7 and exclusively breastfed. HTH xxx

With my first i used mainly pampers at first but then soon moved onto re-usables which i can highly recommend. We used Bambio Mio and Kushies and I am now 30 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and we will save money all over again as we already have all the nappies from last time. They are easily as good and easy to use as disposables.
