Subject : TTC - What to eat and what not to eat

I thought i would have a look at some websites about what we should and shouldn't eat when trying to conceive.

Here is a link to a couple of websites :)

HI Tink

Those were very interesting articles - must admit though, although I have switched to brown bread I HATE wholewheat pasta, so have ignored that one!

Brazil nuts are full of zinc and selenium which is good for the health of the little swimmers. According to Zita West sweet potato contains amino acids that help prepare the uterus to receive an embryo.

A good balanced book to have a look at is Zita West's Plan to Get Pregnant. It looks at food, lifestyle factors and what she calls "the mind body link". She is very balanced and doesn't advocate fad diets; just sensible, balanced eating. Another good one for sensible eating plans is Annabel Karmel (she of baby food fame). I like her books cos I have no cooking imagination, so it's all very well and good knowing that I should eat x amount of protein and y amounts of carbs, but I can never think of how to do it!

Good luck on the healthy eating front - but don't deny yourself too much - it's important to feel happy too when ttc!

Oh thanks for that moonandstars. I will look into them. I have bought the Paul McKenna book/CD to try and train myself into not eating just for the sake of it. I am hoping it will work!!! xx
