I was just wondering when everyone is planning on spilling the news - when is the best time?

At the start of week 12? After the scan? End of 1st trimester?

My scan is at 12+3 so I was thinking after that - 10th Dec. H2b and I are thinking of writing out Xmas cards from us and bump then doing secret midnight deliveries so all our friends find out the next morning. I'll text everyone else who isn't in my area.

I'm not sure. Don't know the date of my scan yet. I'm 6+5. I have a feeling my and hubbys parents will twig soon so i don't know wether to just tell them after 8 weeks as the risks are slimmer then, and then tell everyone else after 12 week scan. X

not ill after my scan, will tell very close family if they ask, but otherwise no one is to know until we know everythin is ok! it's going to be a long 3 weeks!!

We told everyone after an emergency scan at 9+6 showed a healthy bubba. We were told our risk of m/c after seeing the HB was the same as after 12 weeks so we just went for it!

I'm 7 weeks today, and so far we told both sets of parents (impossible to keep from mine when staying with them for a weekend), my boss (but unoffically as I was having a bad week last week) and a handful of friends (hubby was drunk ). Phew thats a long list!

Everyone else we'll tell after our dating scan, although dont know when that will be yet tho.

We too have told both sets of parents as if anything did go wrong would need their support anyway - and very close friends that are helping with dd's when i go for appt.s - everyone else will prob guess before i tell them and dd number 1 who's 6 keeps asking why i'm being sick all the time lol, and as it's number 3 my belly's popped already! With my first didn't need maternity wear til over 20 weeks!!

Hubby and i have revised our original plan and are going to tell both sets of parents and our siblings after our scan at 8+3 but no one else is to know until after the 12 week scan whenever that is... xx

all my family know but its because I needed their support (not that I got it) will tell friends at 12 weeks xx

We told our parents at the weekend just gone I was 9+5 I was really struggling to keep it a secret and i feel so much more relaxed now they know..

Everyone else will be finding out after the 12 week scan on the 21st November, but i'll be nearly 13 weeks by then..x

We've already told our parents and 4 very close friends. I also had to tell work. I think we'll just let all our other friends know after my scan - don't really want to announce it on FB first though. I want it to be a surprise - which it will be! x

LOL ive told everybody. But this is number 4 and if i needed help when it comes to scans or appoinments then everyone knows why. I cant keep secrets for love nor money though anyway im useless. Hubby hasnt told his family though, they are crap anyway and wont care so whats the point.

im sure my mum knows already as i went to have lunch with her 2 weeks ago and couldnt eat much and it was my favourite!! lol...also im trying to keep away from my family and hubbys family until after 12 weeks scan,as im in maternity wear already,and i cant hide my bump!! i would rather tell them than them say 'ohhhhh look at you!!!'

we told our parents quiet early on and had friends of ours guessed, i told my best friends and had to tell my boss and one colleague at work. Desperate to tell other people but we will wait until after our scan at 13 +1.
Clare I'm wearing maternity jeans and changing as soon as i get home into maternity legging type things, will need work trousers soon!!

We are planning to tell friends at the beginning or my 2nd trimester which should be Dec 11th ish! we plan to tell OH mum on her birthday which will be Nov 29! my mum is out of the country til Dec 10th So i will tell her then! i want to tell her in person not over the phone! I feel like people at work know as im literally a walking zombie right now!

We told friends and other family after our early scan at 6 weeks and we announced on facebook at 7 weeks... Im figuring Id tell people anyway if anything (god forbid) happened xx

Glad its not just me Mand. We told my mum and sister and best friend almost straight away. We told the rest of our close family and close friends after we had our scan at 7+5. Then just told dh brother and sisters this wk. We felt all the important people in our lives should know and we are too excited to keep it to ourselves.
We will not be announcing it to the world tho until 12wk scan.

Both our parents know and our siblings my mum was first as she helps with our 3 when i go to hospital. His family sort of guessed when i was in hospital on friday. And about 2 very close friends.

We shall tell more people hopefully if everything is ok at our next couple of scans xx

me and my OH have told quite a few ppl when it comes to listing it, we have told his mum and step dad, his dad, both our sisters, had to tell my brother the other day, one of my work collegues, and our closest freinds and my aunty! ha!
im most worried about telling work and keep putting it off saying i WILL tell them after ive had scan, i could quite easily tell them now but my boss is also my dad and really want to know everything is ok before they go into panic mode about me leaving in 7 months time! haha!
