Subject : Progesterone levels???
Hi Ladies,
I saw my GP last week and he arranged fro me to have CD 21 bloods for progesterone levels. I had this done on Monday as CD 21 was on saturday. My levels are 30.7
The thing is my CBFM gave me a peak on thurs and fri CD 19 and 20 so am a bit worried that the blood was taken early. my cycle have been 36 days long recently.
Is 30.7 a good level or is it too early to tell?
I dont see my GP till mext monday and the wait to find out is what he thinks is driving me mad.
YC x

No thats great hon, anything over 15 indicates ov, 30 is strong and plenty of women get there bfp with those levels, i got 100 last month but still bfn! To give you a comparison, when i wasnt ov my levels always come back around 0.2!
I would say your prob okay, but of course check with your consult, if your being medictaed he may want to alter your dose, but for a natural cylce, seems pretty normal to me.
Im sure others will comment too..
Good Luck

I was told anything over 30 means you have ovulated. I've had 2 months of results over 100 on 100g of Clomid but then nothing this month. The first month my result was 1!!!

hiya
i replied in one of other other threads but yes i was told levels needed to be above 30.....
hopefully the clomid is kicking in for you now, maybe the 1st month didn't have time for the clomid to get into your system x
This actually sounds promising x

Hi ycchick,
As the others have said a level of 30 or more suggests an ovulatory cycle. Yours may have been taken a bit early since this cycle is likely to be about 33/34 days long if you ov'd on CD19/20.
The most accurate level is taken 7 days before your period, which for a normal 28 day cycle is CD21, but for you would be CD26/27. If you had your level done on CD23 then it is likely that the progesterone level was still on it's way up to peak at CD26/27.
However, I would take your test as normal. It's so hard to predict the right test day with irregular cycles.
