Subject : well it's official the 2ww begins today
Well I just got home from being insemminated and am tucked up on the couch after being told by my OH that if i move any more than i have to today he won't be happy LOL!!!!! The procedure itself wasn't as bad as i expected uncomfortable like really bad period cramps, 2million sperm were implanted in my uterus so good number i think, had a little spotting as my cervix was being a pain and moving away from her every time she tried to insert the cathetor so she had to use a clamp on my cervix sounds worse than it was, but did cause a little bleed, so now we wait and wait and wait thats's all i seem to have done for 7yrs here's hoping this month it won't be in vain.
if anyone else is starting the 2ww and would like a buddy please just leave a message and i'll keep in touch.......so 16th nov i am allowed to test will kill me waiting till then but i'm determined to wait and not poas earlier in case i get a false positive!!!!!! the next fun job is starting the pessaries tonight then, 2x a day Joy LOL!!!!
Well thats my ramble for the day, gonna make another cuppa tea now cause i'm freezing......
Take it easy Ladies
Sending truck loads of sticky baby dust to all xxxxxxx;\)

Hey hun! Glad to hear all went well with the insemination. Got to listen to your hubs and keep nice and still and relaxed!!! I'm on 2ww too not sure how i feel about this month trying not to get my hopes up as have been disappointed way too many times before! But this month i have had a hsg and follicle tracking so am sort of optimistic as at least i know we bd at the right time!! But i won't know if everything has worked with my cycle when i go on wed to hospital for final scan and blood test, (day 21) sooo nervous want to stay positive.
Anyway sorry for completley gc and having a ramble about me!!! Take care and i really hope this month is your month xxxx

They are both meant to be good for you as they have selenium in them which help the uterine lining... But to be honest I don't know how much scientific evidence there is (if any) that they help with implantation. I find myself eating all sorts of weird stuff, just because some fruitloop on the net says it *might* help me get PG.
Oh, that makes me the fruitloop in this set up. Whoops....

Hi Sianni
Yes - I've had two rounds of IUI, just starting my (lucky?) third.
I did feel a bit of tugging in my lower stomach - I put this down to the insemination, and unless you are in real discomfort, I don't think it's anything to worry about. But you can always ring your clinic if you have any concerns.
Are you taking progesterone during the 2ww? I found they gave me little aches and niggles, particularly in my ovaries and boobs.
Oh, and as for feeling emotional... tell me about it! I was very teary and snappy, and MrD caught the brunt of it! I think it's down to the rush of hormones, together with the stress and anticipation, hoping that it will all work. I know we are supposed to stay calm and rested, but it is hard.
I wish you all the best. You have done everything you can and given yourself your best possible chance. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Mrsd you've put my mind at rest now could be the progesterone i'm on the pessaries 2x a day and yes my boobs and ovaries are sore so probably just that,
good luck with round 3 i have everything crossed for you and sending loads of sticky baby dust to you....... My OH is taking the main brunt too i've recently quit smoking too which is adding to my frustration cause i'm really missing it, which along with the hormones is not a good combination LMAO he seems to be coping though i'm trying not to take it out on him and am going for a drive when i can feel my head starting to lose the plot
thanks for chatting your a star!!! i haven't got many people i feel i can talk like this to as they all have kids so don't understand the frustration involved
any way i've rambled enough now
Thanks Again much appreciated xxxxx

I am exactly the same Sianni - must be the progestorone (I had an injection tho).
I am weeing so much too - I was up in the night four times and I never normally get up at all! The combination of unbroken sleep and hormones is causing lots of grumpiness from me - tmi but my nipples are also on fire and so so sore. When will the effects die down lol - probably something I am not supposed to want to happen though as we want to be pg.
Bonfire night tomorrow so a good distraction for the 2ww. Can't wait to have a little one to take with us. Whats everyone up to for bonfire night?
We are off to an organised event should be nice with big shows- I am jittery so wouldn't do them at home or go to other peoples houses.
Hope fellow 2ww are doing well and are not thinking of those sticks yet!
xxx
