Subject : Start of another week :-(
Does anyone else feel sad on Mondays that their OH is going to be at work for the week? I thought I'd not have the Sunday/Monday blues now I'm not working but I still do!!! I'm trying to have something planned most days, even if it's just someone over for 30 mins during their lunch break, but it's not the same as having hubby around to help with bathtime, play etc
Maybe once Beth is a bit older and easier to play with it will get better but sometimes the days just feel so long! And you cant even really look forward to bedtime as you never know how much sleep you're going to get. Night feeding is getting pretty tedious now!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who dreads weekdays. I'm on my own with the baby from 7.30pm when hubby goes to work until 3pm the next day when he wakes up and as I'm averaging 4 hours sleep a night I'm finding it really hard going.
I think single mums deserve a bloody medal, me and Tilly have a Daddy finishing work song counting down the days!!
Apparently months 3-9 are the absolute best when you can properly play and they respond (and sleep through hopefully!!)

me too! my hubby works mon-sat 8-6 so feels that he doesnt spend enough time with our baby :( he also doesnt do night feeds and as baby still wakes 1-2 times a night it can make me feel like the walking dead through the day.
Im like you BabyB - I try to get out of the house with baby every day but am dreading as it gets colder as i know i wont want to leave the cosy house!

I dread Mondays too. And everyday I count down the hours til OH comes home and can help me out. I love my baby so much but sometimes I just feel I can't cope on my own. I can't wait til 3 months - hoping it will magically get better as everyone says it does. I'm trying to organise stuff everyday but today's shopping trip was a nightmare as he screamed the whole time even though I bf him in John Lewis!
Anyway, just to say you're not alone. I still get that Monday morning feeling despite not having to go to work. x

I feel exactly the same. Even though I have an older son I still get the Monday blues. It is even worse now that it gets so dark so early (its 4.15 now and it going to be dark in a minute), so I guess it is important to get out in the daylight, even if it is just for half an hour or so.
Its awful but I feel that I am wishing the next few months away - wishing for it to be maybe March/April when it gets warmer, lighter and my baby is a bit older and hopfeully a bit easier!!

Glad it's not just me! OH has booked next week off work and I am SO excited. It's really keeping me going at the moment!
I feel like I'm really waiting for the miraculous 12 week mark when everything is going to get better (I may be setting myself up for a bit of a fall...!)

Your seriousley not alone. We have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy and when he is good and not screaming - I look into his eyes and think "WOW - I'm the luckiest woman alive" ...... on other days when he is screaming I think "what have I done to deserve this" - it's easier when there is two to tackle the problems - even if it just allows me to go out for a walk to clear my head. We have a reflux baby, who has his first cold, and is cutting his fist teeth. NOT MUCH FUN....... I'm told it get easier - I CAN ONLY HOPE - Lol xxx

hey Baby B
Yup, i'm the same. I start to get sad on sunday afternoon thinking oh nooo it's just me and her again for the week (apart from when he works from home which is nice).
LO is going through a funny phase at the moment, Will sleep really well one night and then really crappy the next -i can't work it out! I know what you mean about dreading night time!! i finally got her to sleep at 5:30 this morning - nightmare! asa result we've both slept most of today. am dreading tonight. let's hope the 'when they sleep through the day it relaxes them so they will sleep at night' comes true tonight!
R xx

Wow, I could have written this myself! Only my LO is 16 weeks today and I am still waiting for it to get easier... Perhaps in a way it already has done (no more crying for "no reason", he is more alert playtime is more fun) but I still feel very down on Monday mornings, and generally every weekday morning... I don't cry anymore each morning which is good. I love weekends and when hubby works from home, everything is so much less daunting.
Anyway, it is good to know that others feel the same... I am off now to attend to my LO who has yet again awoken from his "2 hour nap" after 45 mins...
