Subject : BE weight loss support group - w/c 2nd November :-)
Hi girlies
Well, I'm a little early, but as some of us talked about earlier in the week, welcome to our first weekly "weigh in"...
I use the term 'weigh in' loosely as we don't have to know each others weights to support each other!
Perhaps you'd feel comfortable giving amounts lost, and other milestones, like dropping a dress size etc... Plus lots of support when we're feeling lacking in motivation!
I don't get weighed until a Wednesday evening, but thought we'd start it now to get the support going!
Please join me girls so I don't have to do this on my own!
C xx

hi i guess i'm g/c but just wanted to say well done mrsB for getting up and doing it. i've been thnking for ages to do Sw but kept putting it off, excuses like well when i've stopped bfeeding ...(in all honesty i know they do bfeeding SW but ds is milk allergic so no skimmed milk for me, they don't do a skimmed soya) but now i've stopped bfeeding thats no excuse anymore, but tbh i really can't be arsed, i want to lose weight but it's just so much effort, not to mention (and i know this is gonna sound like another excuse) the cost, we really are skint at the mo and i can't justify spending £4 a week to go to SW or WW. i was supposed to do it with my best friend a month or two ago as i don't wanna go on my own but she went and signed at one i can't get to, she also said we wld start swimming but she started doing spinning instead which really doesn't appeal to me and again too far away. plus i want to go as i want to meet some ppl in my area, since having ds i do'nt seem to have any friends anymore, and the ones i do are either far a way or work during the day so i have no social life, joined a mum and baby group (breastfeeding group) but since i stopped bfeeding was told i can't go anymore, and the mum and baby one is all the same ppl and they do comment on me stopping feeding him so i don't want to go those anymore. anyhoo, gone completely off track, hopefully i'll get the motivation soon, and the cash, but until then good luck ladies, u'll be uber trim in no time! xxx

Hey siany
Thanks hun! To be honest, I was just like you until a week last Friday! Then I caught a reflection of myself in a door at work and just wanted to cry! Then I went home, weighed myself and did cry!!!! So I knew I had to do something - I don't want Daisy-Mae to grow up with a Mummy that she's embarrassed to have and that's how bad I think I look...
So, I was lucky because I've got a couple of friends from baby group who go, who are lovely - I asked if I could tag along and they were happy for me to, so off I went!
If it was the money thing, I'd be happy to email you with the basics of the plan and send you a diet sheet - your weigh in could be here with us! Also, you can do it online to get access to the plan if location was a problem, although I know that means you still don't get a weigh in at a group... I also know that money wise, you can go to your doctor and ask for a couple of months free! I haven't done this, but know someone who has - think you'd have to need to lose the weight for your health, or be able to demonstrate that it's making you depressed, but worth a go hun!
But (and it's a big but!), it's only worth doing if you can motivate yourself to get going with it - much of it is self motivation! That's why I went for SW - the possibility of humiliation in front of lots of people on a Wednesday night! But we can do that for you!!!!!!! :-)
And on the exercise front, I'm doing very little at the moment as I have had a nasty problem with my joints since Daisy was born. We're waiting for a diagnosis (STILL!) but the consultants are expecting that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which means I am in agony most of the time, mainly with my hands and ankles. It's a vicious circle because not losing weight means I'm carrying more and it hurts more, but doing the exercise in the first place also hurts!!!! So, I'm mainly walking with the pushchair (weighing it down works well!) or very occasionally swimming!
Good luck though, with whatever you decide to do - we'll be able to support you!

Hello Mrs Buttons, can I join you? I don't really have a baby anymore, she's a toddler, but I need to get back on the ww thing!
Joined ww when my lo was about 9mths old, cos I just couldn't shift the baby weight (baby no.3) and I met my target weight quite quickly. But since then it has crept back on again! I think the temptation being a SAHM is that I just 'boredom' eat. When I'm tired I always want to comfort eat as well.
Anyway if I showed my face at ww now they would make me re-register again - I have def put on more than 5lbs! So if you ladies don't mind being my incentive now?
My weigh in day was Thurs so will stick with that! (means you can relax a bit at the weekend lol)
Thanks ladies!!
Mims xxxxx
ps Butterfly - well done on losing 7lbs that is fantastic!

Hey girlies!
Great to have so many of you joining me!
Butterfly - brilliant work, well done! You can be our encouragement this week.. Think you should have Slimmer of the Week, like at SW!
I get weighed tomorrow evening - I'll be gutted if I haven't lost 3 - I've been soooooooo good this week and followed the plan beautifully... Hardly had any syns either, just to get me going!
Who else is going to join us???

Count me in as well
I've gone from a 24 bottom (as if I got that big ) to a 16/18 and a 22 top to a 16 top. Used to be a 14/14 before kids.
As I've lost the bulk of it, I'm finding it harder and harder to lose it.
What is weigh in day?
Well done all the ladies who have lost, so much easier said than done isn't it.
