Subject : bath toys recommendations

Anyone got any?!

Lo has wind up toys and stacking cups and rubber ducks but would like to get her something else that's fun (not bath crayons though).

I wouldn't recommend sqeezy toys even if you think you've got all the water out they go manky in side. If your shopping online with elc promo code BBCXMAS should give you 20% off x

chloe has a tomy dolphin squirty thing and she loves it -s she squirts herself or we squirt her, has her in fits in giggles!!

seen some tomy toys in mothercare that have recommended people to get chloe for xmas.

personally i would avoid ones with suckers to attach, certainly from elc - we've tried several (stupidly without reading the reviews first!!) and they were crap - no way they would ever stick!! so they ended up going back!!

we are on the hunt for other new toys so will be interested to see what else is recommended but what you get charlotte.

lara xx

There is a doll you can get that your supposed to wash dirty marks off, we bought that, but bcoz it's completly soft it was a case of sticking it in the washing machine to make her smell better lol. A normal cheap doll would work much better, plus you could get a pretend bottle and spoon, and pretend to feed bubbles etc. And as they'd all be solid plastic, nothing for old water to fester in. We are going to get a teapot and cups for the bath, as last night dd kept pouring water from her hair washing jug pretending to make tea. We keep all her bath toys in a pelican with a mesh bag under his beak. She loves it so much she puts her own toys away x

I too was looking for soemthing abit different for my daughter who loves her baths. rubber ducks, plastic boats arent all that interesting for her, I was looking for something that moved etsd.
Looked on elc and all -ve reviews as the one they sell has to be flat surface - normally udner the taps. My sister has brought the tomy jumping penguin slide, a friend recommended it too. The only reviews I have found which are -ve are people who say it broke in 2 weeks but they got replacements. Apart from that the children love it. Im hoping it proivdes her with entertainment and I can picture her giglling as the penguins fall into the water!

My son's favourite bath toys are a plastic jug and couple of coloured kitchen funnels from ikea! Cheapest thing in there and he loves it!

We have a green plastic frog which suctions onto the wall by the side of the bath from ELC. You fill it up with bubble bath and water mixed together and turn it on, and it plays 3 tunes and produces lots of bubbles. Lo loves it, but it hasn't lasted very well. There is a bit that dangles down inside that the bubbles come through, and it detaches really easily, so we have the attach it again every time we fill the frog up with the solution. It was about £8.

Zacky loves his squeezy ducks and fish. We have learnt him how to fill them with water and then squirt the water back out at himself. he thinks its really funny.
