Hii, i am only 16 years old and tbh i don't really have many people to talk to , and i am too shy to ring my midwife tbh.
Wednesday morning my midwife came to my house and gave me a sweep, she expected my cervix to be completely closed but it was 1cm dilated, since my sweep i have been experiencing sharp pains now and again just below my nicker line, tbh it feels like shooting pains?
also i have been having like a stringy, jelly white discharge.?
i dont really know why? can anyone help please?

why has your MW given you a sweep at 29+3???

You need to contact your Midwife or Dr hun. You shouldnt be shy you will have these people down there when you are in labour - its their job, they dont 'care' about what they see, they see hundreds of them weekly. Please go and see someone. It may be Braxton Hicks but to be on the safe side you should spk to a proffesional. xxx

are you 29+3 or 39+3???????

Your age would not mean anything? Is your MW fully qualified? Somethings a bit dodgy here.

oh thank god for that! phew!

Yes hun you need to see your MW, it could be Braxton Hicks or it could be the start of labour. What about your partner/mum - who is you birthing partner?

are you really only 29 weeks?? if so i would contact the community midwife office at your local hospital as it sounds as though your midwife isn't doing a proper job, a sweep brings on labour which at 29 weeks could have a fatal effect on your baby.

tbh, no midwife in their right mind would sweep a cervix at 29 weeks tbh, particularly when young maternal age is linked with premature birth.

tbh I think someone is getting a little bit bored with the tail end of half term, aren't they? TBH?

In that case since you are 39 weeks I would def say to someone how you are feeling as this could be a gentle start of things!
