Subject : The nerve of some people..

I had a woment talk to me at the bus stop about the kids and this being pregnant with another baby and she turned round and said ....................................." dont you have a telly?"
Now she was deadly serious, I could have swung for her, I tell you what ever posses people to think they have the right to comment like that?
I felt like telling her "yes but unlike you I also have a SUPER SEX LIFE" but having the kids there I thought better of it!!!

What a bloody cheek!!!!

GGGGRRRRRRRRR

LOL! I have lost count of the amount of people who ask me that question. I think I did reply with "yes but my hubby is so great in bed I just cant keep my hands off him" when I was about 8 months pregnant with Isaac x

Awe hun, I have had too many of these silly comments too.

The "Boy you sure have your hands full, how are you ever going to manage", or the "I'm sure glad I don't have to deal with them all", "Are you going to get fix already "and the infamous "don't you know what cause it",

The getting fixed comment really winds me up. I am not broken.
The only one I have successfully responded to was the "I'm glad I don't have to deal with them" - I enjoyed saying me too.

Sorry people are so inconsiderate.

My problem with that question is I have to honestly say no we don't. Dh and I were both raised without a tv, and so have never bought one.

lol I am only just starting to get to big family status being preggers with my third and my son has Global developmental delay and is being tested to see if there is a mental handicap causing that. People say horrible things even my mum has said it. He is enough of a handfull you shouldn't be having more is what they say >:(. God I want to hit them! How dare they and they say it when he is in the room like as if he wouldn't hear it or is too stupid to have feelings >:(. Yes he is a handfull and some days I do not cope as well as I should but I love being a mum and I love being a mum to him. My eldest is only six but she is such a big helper around the house that she kind of evens out all that trouble I have with her brother and both my kids are looking forward to having a little sister to cuddle. They are already working out how they will take turns to have a cuddle. I also get the but you have the pidgeon pair why would you want more? Like the sex of my children has anything to do with it at all which it doesn't. I feel like saying well we want three children one of each just to wierd them out for a bit lol.

I too was raised without a telly, we really only have one because hubby cant live without it!
I dont watch it in the evenings as there is so much crap on it bores me to tears!!
Michelle, in answer to your question "what do we do in the evenings?"
Well apart from jumping our oh's bones (lol sorry couldnt resist!) I read alot, sometimes bake but mostly just spend time chilling out!
Nothing like a nice hot bath, a good book and just flake out in bed.

Libranaster, you are welcome here hunnie.
I do find it shocking the things people say, I think they all book mark women with more than two children as chav's using the state to pay for everything. BUT if they actually take the time to talk to us and understand that many of us actually dont owe a penny, have worked bloody hard to get what we have, dont claim benifits unless the normal ones every mum gets, and definatly dont take liberty's like many of the people on benifits. But they dont and I think we will always get the negative/sarky comments.
So we come on here and have a good rant and bi*ch lol!!!!

As for you being pregnant with your third but having a child that needs a little help.....................so bloody what, good for you sweetie. I believe it makes you even more great than regular mummys xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Too true... (claps and cheers.)

I must admit my evenings are so full I wouldn't know where to fit watching tv in. I am doing my masters degree through the open university so I study a lot. But I enjoy sewing, knitting, reading, and I do a lot of writing. I write freelance for two magazines, and write short stories. Ive only published a couple of those, but atm I'm working on my second novel manuscript. I work two nights a week too, so I do enjoy just sitting and chatting with dh when we have a free evening.

Libranaster - it's terrible how little people can't see beyond their own nose. Your little guy has so much to give, and it's a shame people insist on judging him by what he needs. It makes perfect sense that you would want another because it's not about what you already have it's about what your heart tells you is still missing.

xx

Libranaster, I did reply with the comment of we wanted one of each when I was pregnant with my 3rd. It just really peed me off, yes I did feel very lucky to have one of each but it had no bearing on my deciding to have any more children. I know also what you mean about the insensitive comments about your son, we are still waiting to get a diagnosis for Isaac, at the moment things like sensory processing dysfunction, dyspraxia (or dcd) and aspergers have all been suggested but as yet we still have no definite answers, people especially parents often say things along the lines of, well its a good job hes your 4th, you wouldnt want any more with his problems!!! WTF is that about, yes like you say, he is hard work and high maintenance at times, but I can honestly say that if someone came along with a magic wand and said they could make him "normal" I would say no becuase then he wouldnt be Isaac, and I love him just the way he is, and yes he may have problems but he is very loving and has the funniest ways that make him extra special. Right getting off my soap box now xx

Oh and I forgot to add, when I was pregnant with no 4 people kept telling me it would be nice to have another boy to even things up, that peed me right off so I used to reply with, well unless I give birth to an adult then things will not be even as me and hubby are going to be out numbered 2 to 1 by children LOL!

I couldn't live without one either, but then i never have? but you are right most of it is crap! I take my hat off to you and hedgie when i put my kids to bed i'm just to tired (or lazy!?) to do anything! Ae for jumping my oh's bones, don't you know thats how you get more kids!! (please) lol

Its so true you almost feel you need to tell total strangers that you don't get benifits and don't own a credit card and don't use people to look after my kids!!
