Subject : Testing 24th/25th...

Hi

Have read a few posts and there seems to be a really positive bunch of people on here, really hope things work out well for everyone.

I have had 2mmc and ectopic (tube damaged put still there and clear!), poss some chem pregnancies along the way so getting a little bit jaded and having a couple of months break from CBFM. I think the CBFM is fab but looks like I have a regular cycle and generally ov around CD14/15 so thought I'd save the money on sticks and chill out a bit!

Am guessing I am about 11/12 dpo today, been having symptoms since 9dpo - mild nausea and sore boobs which I swear are getting plumper. I have got one preg test and initially promised hubby would wait until AF was a few days late just in case chem preg - but can't do it!! Longest I can wait is 27th when AF would be 2 days late but think I might test on 24th - it would have been my mum's 60th birthday so maybe it will bring us luck. Also m-i-l stopping with us 26th - 28th so rather not get BFN while she's here.

Have been a little bit naughty and POAS on a CBFM stick today - had to pee on something!!!! Never used one at this time of the month before but got 2 strong lines so hopefully am picking up HCG! - BAD, MAD GIRL!!LOL!

Anyway, let me know what you think....

MX

PS: NN - If you read this I hope things are going well xx

he he he, "had to pee on something" - same here when I was ttc before bfp, I was constantly peeing on opk's or hpt's just because I had to!
Not really sure what your strong lines will mean to be honest, but I'm hoping for the best for you - STICKY STICKY BABY DUST!!!!

Hi Maria

Yes, I'm reading! Happy I still pop in occasionally to see how everyone is getting on.

It's SO good to see you back.

I really, really, really hope this is will your month and a super-sticky-in-the-right-place BFP for you in the next couple of days.

You deserve that SO much and I will be keeping my fingers very tightly crossed and will check in to see how you get on in a couple of days.

I have no idea about the CBFM but really hope it's a good sign that you got 2 strong lines today!

Love and hugs, NN xxx

Hi Maria

ARG what a dilemma you are in! If it was me I would really struggle not to test before af. But I do think that if you can stand the waiting that it would be worth waiting until after af is due to arrive. If there is one thing I have learnt from this forum it is don't test early!!

Could you treat it like Christmas and mock up a count down calendar, with chocolate treats??

Sending you lots and lots of good luck wishes xxxx

Oooooooh

M&S choccy treats sound like such a good idea!!!!(Hehe) I think i would struggle to wait for days after AF too.

I hope that you get your BFP matey, and i would be the same if my m-i-l was staying.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Jodie xx

Choccy treats... great idea but only for those with will power! - I'd probably POAS anyway if I had more than one test as it is I've got to make myself wait at least a couple more days. Though have still had the choccy treat - cookies!

Just tried going to the gym, cross trainer fine but running - no way - Ouchy boobies! Not too bad if you hold them in a bit but the guys might get the wrong idea!

CBFM machine had a dizzy fit when put stick in so not sure what that means either, in the meantime the stick has 2 lines so that will keep me happy/POAS free for a few days.

NN - Loving your scan pic/avatar - she's waving!Smile I will email soon with proper update - drop me a line with your news to date please!

Love Mx

Hi

NN - Yes I couldn't wait and tested this morning... BFP!! Yay!Smile

Still early days as AF was only due today so will have to wait and see and get checked out at the EPAU again - the nurses there have been great with me in the past. That probably means 1st/2nd week Nov for scan to check not ectopic - but have no pains or feelings that indicate it could be so not too worried about it - though sure I will be on the day.

I had a follow up appt after HSG(Sept) and asked about aspirin, etc - it was just with the fertility nurse rather than the consultant but she said it couldn't do any harn to take the lowest dose so that's what I've been doing - hope it does the trick. She didn't feel a higher dose of folic acid was necessary - but taken an extra tablet to be on the safe side.

Hubby has said we should let ourselves get excited and be positive because 'what will be will be' and better to give bean (& us) happy vibes.

Will keep you updated

Mx

Oh Maria, that's fantastic!!! Happy

I am so pleased for you...congratulations. I had a feeling it'd be BFP because you sounded like you thought it would be and I think afer being pregnant so many times you just know don't you?

I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you SO much.

Your hubby is right - nothing can change what will be so you may as well enjoy being pregnant and let yourself get excited because the last thing you want is to look back on your pregnancy and regret not letting yourself enjoy it. And happy thoughts to your little one can only be a good thing! Smile Of course there will be times when you worry like crazy (who wouldn't after what you've been through?) but remember that I'm always here if you want to chat Smile

I really hope that perhaps the low dose aspirin is all you need and will do the trick.

Please keep me up to date and let me know when your first scan is.

I am grinning reading your news! Happy

Love and hugs, NN xxx

Hi

I hope me continuing to post here is okay...

NN... an update:

I have been to docs this evening, early scan booked at EPAU for Monday 2nd November in the morning. Will only be 5+2 by then but just checking there is a sac in the right place and not ectopic (only done this early because of my prev history:roll:). Plus get bloods done. Even if bleed in between still need to go as bleed with prev ectopic... wish things could be simpler... on the plus side will hopefully put my mind at rest on at least one thing!

Will be kept busy over the next few weeks as have got a contract to complete so will keep my mind occupied.

Hi M

Really pleased you have a date for your first scan and it' not too long away, although I know a day can feel like a year when you're waiting for a scan! WhateeeEver!

I will keep my fingers crossed on Monday and be sending lots of positive vibes your way for some good news.

Do you have any nice plans for the weekend to help pass the time?

Love and hugs, NN xxx

Hi

Laujai - yes I have changed my avatar - though really can't remember what the old one was!! Have you changed yours too? I should have stayed around more but needed abit of a break from it all.

NN - EPAU nurse gave me a call today because needed to bring forward appt, she'd seen my name appear on the list and recognised it was me! Last time I was there didn't even have to give my name they recognised my face!! She was lovely last time and on phone, after confirming I feel fine, said she was excited to see my name there again (because it means I'm preg again and fingers crossed, etc) - bizarre to think 18 months ago I would have dreaded going there but now am looking forward to it. No spotting/bleeding, no pain other than backache and boobs so fingers crossed they can see a sac and confirm not ectopic then I will be really nervous waiting for the next scan - soooo need to see a heartbeat.

Am in London for the next couple of days (work) so offline for a while, expecting a busy couple of weeks ahead which is in one way bad timing but actually probably a really good thing.

Hope you are well & expanding! It's so great to see you in the 3rd trimester!

Love Mx

Hi M

Fantastic news hope your early scan went well? I too had an ectopic last year and unfortunately the tube ruptured and had to be removed. Have just discovered I may be pg again but af not due till tuesday so very cautious at the moment, just wanted to ask how early epu will want to see me as I wasn't planning to give them a call until I was at least 5 wks? Hope you don't mind me asking.
