I anyone has read my other posts you might have a bit of an idea about all this already but having been refused an early scan i now want to book a private one but i need to 'guess' the best time to go. Can some of you experienced ladies help me out with a rough guess as to how far along i might be please.
My last AF was 27 June and when the next was due(ish) around the 25 July i did a hpt which was a BFN. I have always had erratic AF's which can stop for a number of months so after the BFN i just thought that was what had happened again.
I was about to start trying some a.castus again so did another hpt before starting which was a BFP and that was 19 Sep.
So do i count back from the BFP, if so roughly how many weeks, in your experience, do you need to be before you get a BFP?
I don't want to go private and find out i am only 5 weeks and they can't see anything! Ideally i would like to be about 9 weeks as like everyone else i would like to be past the point at which my mmc happened, but i am due to go abroad on 18 Nov and if the worst has happened i don't want to be mc thousands of miles away from home.
Your best guestimates will be appreciated!!!! xxxx

confusing!! ok, by my calculations you must be, at the very least 8+4 as you would have been roughly 4 weeks pg when you got your BFP.Even if you were only 10DPO that would still make you about 8 weeks pg...I THINK!!! Coincidentally the date of my last AF was 27th June...I am 15+6!!! xx

Hiya, I agree with Kristen. I also got my BFP on 19th Spetember (great day!) and I'm 9+6 but I think I could have tested earlier and may have got a positive as the lines were V dark on the 19th Sept. But, like Kristen says, you are likely to have been about 4 weeks minimum when you got BFP so should be into your 8th week now!!

Oh god i hope so - that means my private scan on the 1st nov will possibly be at the end of my 9th week.
Thats about what i imagined, and there was no mistaking the BFP it was nice and dark so i wasn't as if i was only a matter of days at that point.
I hope everthing goes ok from now on (sticky bean, sticky bean........)

A heartbeat at 9 weeks gives you something like a 97% chance that everything is going to go well (according to the national mc association) so that would be brilliant! sending sticky vibes your way xxx

Not bad guesses girlies - my private scan yesterday measured 10+3 and the sonographer said she saw no problems at all so no reason to be sobbing like a big sissy! She evenhad a look at the NT and said it looks fine and dandy so far. Thanks for all the sticky vibes - if i can just get to the 12 weeks (booked for a week on friday) with everything ok, maybe i might even start to enjoy it.
