Hi Jenny, when i had my 20 week scan my baby was lying transverse. Im sure now its the head i can feel under my ribs and i was getting lots of kicks low down. When i saw my midwife at 24 weeks she said its hard to tell just now which way it is lying.

When should baby go head down, and when will the midwife be able to tell, im sure they knew with my last pg earlier. Is there any tips for myself trying to feel which way baby is lying? Im not very big and i can easily feel baby bits.

Thanks

Hi Jenny,

I am 29 weeks and in the last few days haven't felt the baby kick as frequently as before. I can feel some movement usually first thing in mornign and last thing at night but not too much throughout the day. Is this common as the pregnancy progresses?

Thanks so much

Hi wannabeamummy, It might be helpful to get your urine checked just in case you have an infection as this can sometimes make you feel uncomfortable. I think it unlikely at this early time that you have symphisis pubis dysfunction as the baby is still very small although it is not unheard of. If your bones at the front are sore when you press them it may mean the little bit of cartiledge is loosened. The way to manage this is to always bend down with you knees bent and keep your knees together for example when getting out of the car turn to the side both knees together before standing up rather than one leg out and then the other which can cause friction at the front of your pelvic bone.

Hi Jenny

I am currently 27 + 4 pregnant and have a common blood problem known as APS. Now for the past few days I have been having problems with my left knee. Strange as this sounds my actual knee cap aches when I move it and at night time it feels as if the muscles around my knee tighten and find it difficult to walk to the toilet at 4am in the morning.

Do you think this is related to APS? If not is there anything that I can do to reduce the amount of times it is happening!!

Hi again MrsRaf, after thought! Might be a good idea just to take them off just before you go to bed and put them back on as you wake up to give you skin a bit of relief
