Hi
We saw the doctor this morning and were told she's got an infection. theyre waitin for the blood cultures to come back to find out what kind of infection. She is also anaemic and they are giving her a blood transfusion this afternoon, They took her off the CPAP to weigh her ( good news is she is 2lb 8oz now) but she was struggling so she's now back on it.

I feel helpless at the moment as there's nothing I can do, except stroke her little hands and face and talk to her. I miss my wide eyed princess lol.

oh goodness - I have everything crossed for you and your Lo! Hopefully the blood transfusion will help and once the cultures are back things will be clearer!

OH no.... If the power of lots of people willing her to do well is anything to go on then, I am sure she will fight this and like Elise will be home soon.

Aww hun, sorry to hear your little darling has an infection, she is a little fighter hun and before u know it ull have her home with you, I remember when my ds2 was in neo natal every time we got 1 step forward the next we were 2 steps back,
Take things easy hun and i really do hope she is better soon xxx

well we went in this evening and she was looking a better colour after her blood transfusion. she kept openig and closing her eyes ( first time since Sat) and kept kicking the blanket off.
think our little princess has got her fighting spirit back :) They are going to take her off CPAP for short periods overnight.

That sounds like great developments! She has the same fighting spirit you do by the sound of it!

that is great that Isobelle is getting better. it can be so frustrating when they have a set back. but you just being there with her will make all the difference

we went in today and she's doing really well again and heading in the right direction. No more CPAP and on 15 mls milk every 2 hours.
thats my girl lol x
