CD1 for me it is as AF rearer her ugly head and greated me this morning. 1st cycle 113 days, 2nd cycle 40 days and now onto cycle 3. Here's to returning to 'normal' length cycles from now on!

Hi NIKKINOOS I just replied on other thread but I'm CD1 too. I'm in for getting a BFP. Just having a large glass of wine to cheer me before starting again!

Welcome crafticharli! Quite a few of us it would seem are now on CD1! So, are any of us going to try anything different this month?! I'm still trying to get my head around it all and am just grateful to finally know what EWCM really looks like, lol. x

Ha Ha! Well I'm a midwife so you'd think I should know what I'm doing! Using CBFM this month but trying not to start obsessing. It is only month 3 for me after all!

Hi littleb, nice to hear from you again. Got on really well with the temp monitoring last cycle and managed to take it the same time every morning mostly so was fairly accurate. Will definately continue to temp from now on. I had a rough idea of when i ovulated due to a nearly positive OPK and EWCM but only managed to pin point the exact day after fertilityfriend drew my coverline by which point i was 3DPO. It made me quite relaxed afterwards to know that there wasn't the pressure of BDing at the right time and i could take it easy for a couple of weeks. 6DPO today and the BDing started yesterday (sorry TMI). Not sure what day to start doing my OPK's. Got lots of cheapy ones so don't mind using them over a week or so. How are your cycles now? Any shorter than you 1st?! x

Hi Nikki,
I'm joining you again though a little way behind you - CD 1 for me today as the old hag pulled into the station early hours of this morning! Gosh I soooooooo hate the evil cow!
Do you know how long your cycles are NN? cos that should determine your ov date approximately and then we can work out where you should start your ov sticks..
Eg, I normally have a 28 day cycle (sometimes drifts to a 27 or a 29 dependant on ov day) with a 14 day luteal phase (timespan between ov and AF) So, I *usually* ov around day 14, but have been known to occassionally ov on day 12 - so I start my ov sticks on CD10 to make sure I don't miss it.
I use CBD opks (smily face) which come with 7 in the pack - I've never ov'd later than cd 15 so I know I have enough each month.
The reason I test from cd10 is because you can get your LH surge (hormone surge indicating ov is close) anywhere up to 72 hours before you actually ov - the only thing that determines for sure that you have ov'd is your temp rise...
Sorry if I'm teaching you how to suck eggs - never quite know how much people already know...
Anywhoo - cd1 today so I should ov between 31/10/09 (halloween!!!!!!!) and 02/11/09...so test date would be 17/11/09....mmmm which would make edd 27/07/10 Looks like I only get one shot at a July bean then
Best get my act together this month
Witch will be properly drowned with the appropriate alcoholic beverages this evening along with some sea salt and cracked black pepper cashews followed by walnut whip.....Just beacuse I am not allowed them from next month onwards
PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies
I am on CD 4 today so can i join you please?? i have just started using CBFM for the first time, really i just want to be sure that i am ovulating as its the first month with it although a BFP would be fantastic.
Its TTC month 3 for us ( feels like soooo much longer, my heart really gose out to others that have been trying for so much longer ).
I have been a good girl and given up smoking ( on day 3 smoke free so its early days but im doing ok ) also i have to watch what i eat as soon as AF has left the building as i have allways strugled with weight and its slowly creeping on right now and it dosent help matters- i hope all this PMA dose me good.
good luck to all and wishing BFP and baby dust all round xxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry to see you over here LL, although nice to see a familiar face from the other thread! Thanks for all the advice, it's nice to know i am understanding a lot more about my body since joining this site! Although i seem to be constantly learning new things everyday!
My 1st cycle was 113 days and this last one was 39 days with a LP of 11 days i think so i have no idea what to expect from this cycle! Was thinking of testing from CD10 as i have loads of cheapy ov sticks and can always order more if need be. I'd hate to miss it! Do you reckon i should be anxious due to the fact that my LP seems to be rather short or do you reckon it's still the pill messing up my system?
Drowing the witch with alcoholic beverages and force feeding her the yummy munchies should help you feel better! Onwards with the PMA for a July bean!
Welcome littlebug, of course you can join us. Congratulations on stopping smoking, that must have been a huge hurdle to overcome. Keep it up. Do you know how long your cycles are to be able to work out the best dates to BD?
Melissa, you are welcome to join, however in the nicest possible way i hope not to see you on here! Fingers crossed for you that the witch doesn't show!
Huge doses of PMA and babydust to all!
x

Hi guys - I'm CD3 as of today - just had a 43 day cycle after being fairly regular at 30-31 days so no idea when I'll ov this month - last month I ran out of OPK's (& long cycle anyway) so going to try temperature checking for a bit. I have 20 OPK's - but not going to waste them!
OH says we will just have to try BDing every day to be sure!
Baby dust showers all round!

I'm so glad that your body is behaving itself more now - operation babymaking sounds like it's in full swing (ahem!). i reckon its only a matter of time before I see you're BFP post- fingers crossed!
unfortunately my body is still playing silly beggers - I'm on cd34 with no sign of ov yet. i'm still monitoring my temps but they are still a bit erratic. i was able to look back and identify ov last cycle once AF arrived but i'm not sure that i'd notice it as it happens. I was planning to go back to the GP just before my AF arrived but I've held off in the hope things were back on track, but i'm considering making an appointment in the next month or so to see whether she has any helpful advice

Hi chocolateteabag, good luck for a lucky month for you. I have been temping and found it useful, especially after ovulation.
lb, so sorry to hear your body is still messing you about. It doesn't make all this TTC easy does it! I'm hoping i notice a few more ovulation signs this month now i have an idea what i'm looking for. Hopefully AF or a BFP will be on it's way for you shortly. Hope you get somewhere if you do decide to go to see your GP in the meantime. x
