We are using Bambino Mio, and are in the small wraps right now. I have 4 wraps, but am finding when Haiden poos it more often than not dirties the wrap, and we are using all 4 within 2 days, meaning I hae to use disposables until they are washed and dried

I am going to buy more wraps but had heard that 4 should be enough. What am I doing wrong?

i have to say i found the same thing so would be interested to hear any advice. I've tried going up a wrap size, liners and still messes wrap. Actually now only using totsbots but have 24 size 2 nappies sat brand new :(

hmm ive never used bambino mio ones, how old is your baby? when DD was younger and she had super runny BF poos they just went everywhere and i cant imagine anything would have contained them, but now she is older they have changed - so it might just be her age? xx

She is 11 weeks tomorrow. She is bottle fed so if I breastfed they would be even more leaky!! x

This is really common with prefold nappies (bambino mio, cotton bottoms, tommee tippee, smart nappy). As there isn't as elastic in the legs and waist of the nappy pad you are relying on the wrap to keep everything in. My first Son was breastfed and i had a starter pack of bambino mio and 4 wraps as well. He would poo 10 times a day and with 4 wraps i ended up handwashing the wraps to keep up.

Ideally using a shaped nappy with elastic in the legs and waist will reduce the amount of times the wrap gets soiled and was the reason i changed away from prefolds.

As you've already got prefolds you should try pinning them into a shape using a nappi nippa. The link below takes you to our instructions on the most common folds. These folds will be on released on a demo video soon.

WE have use bambino mio for 18 months now and we have always had more than 4 covers in each size normally 6/7 covers but we only wash nappies twice a week so it suits us well. Yes you get some leaks but not loads. What fold are you using?

The normal one, just folded into thirds at right angles from the seams x

I would maybe try a boy fold for explosive poo instead and see if that helps!
