Subject : Twin Mummies- if any still about!!

Just wondering how ur monitoring movements??

Obviousely with two in there it can be difficult determining who's kicks. who's but do you generally get movement in one area from one twin and another for the other twin?

Our twins are currently breach and oblique transverse.

Normally twin 1 the breach one kicks/moves on the left and twin 2 kicks/moves on the right. I then also get kicked in the cervixs region but can't work out who it is.

The thing is over the last few days i'm not sure if i have been feeling movements from twin 1, but twin 2 is being very active almost painfully (all on the right), but how do i tell for sure its all twin 2 and i'm not just mistaken it for some of twin1 movements, i don't want to missing something if twin1 is in "trouble".

Hope that makes sense and someone might be able to help.

Hi hun,

I can't help as I haven't had twins but if you are worried you should phone the delivery suite or midwife. Better to be safe. I went in many times during my pregnancy to have baby monitored as I was worried about movement. They are usually really nice and put your mind at rest.

However, if you did want to speak to twin mummies, there are two on regularly in the born in June 2009 forum that i am sure would love to help,

xx

i know the twin mummies do "read-around" so hopefully they'll see my post.

hi there im still here lol (37 weeks tomorrow) my twins seem to have slowed down alot in movement over the past few weeks as they're so cramped in there but still just about get there 10 movements a day in, i used to just about be able to tell out who's who but now i cant really tell unless its definate on the left or right, i did get my doppler out the other day though, but like Mrs D said if your worried to ring midwife and she'd be able to help or send you for monitoring
