Subject : Reheating homecooked food when out?

Hi everyone,
I have just started weaning my daughter at 5 and half months and we are doing really well with a mixture of puree's.
The thing I am confused about is how to manage when we go out.
At home I defrost my cubes over night then give them 10/15 secs in the microwave. Someone told me that I have to reheat the cubes before giving them to Liz. So if I go out do I reheat them at home then let them cool and them to her cold later on?
Am a bit confused about it.
I understand if you give bought food you give it cold from the jar but not sure how it works with the homemade stuff.

Anyone got any advice??

I reheat it before I got out and then give it at room temperature when I am out! I think if it is used within a couple of hours max it is ok :) Or you could ask wherever you are to reheat it :)

i was wondering the same thing. when i went out the other day i asked them to warm it up for me.

having said this somewhere else i went had a notice saying they wouldn't warm up homecooked food or opened jars (luckily i wasn't feeding him then).

i've got a TT travel warmer and i was thinking of using that but i've only used it for bottles so far.

the other thing i thought of was adding a bit of warm milk to the feed to just take the chill off it?

do you know if you have to reheat until it is v hot then leave to cool, or can you just reheat to the temp you want?

xxx

ps i am tempted to use jars when out if all else fails! xx
