Subject : too much fluid, can I have a home birth?

Hi ladies and congratulations! I am measuring 4/5cm too big for dates and all tests have come back fine. It seems I am just carrying too much fluid. Did any of you carry too much fluid and go onto have a natural birth with no complications? I'm hoping for a home birth. Thanks in advance!

Hello as long as all the tests are fine i can't see any reason you could not have a home birth. But they might try to talk you out of it as any excuse will do with some doc/midwives (some can be very supportive!)
They will probably do a growth scan at 38 weeks to double check all is well then you should be fine to go ahead. (this is normal for homebirths)
xx
