if i were you hun, i would stick to paracetamol to keep your temp down (can take up to 8 in one day) and drink hot water with lemon and honey. this is just as good as the beechams etc. you can have lockets and cough sweets to no worries. Also vicks vaporub on your chest etc is really good!
i have taken loads of meds whilst bf, been in hosp with gastroenteritis and they gave me loads of drugs, all were checked for safety when bf. most are fine so dont worry about the amount that gets through in your milk.
hope you feel better soon x

i'm afraid paracetamol is about ur limit. u can still use vicks and karvol etc tho to help ur nose, and sip a homemade honey and lemon to soothe a sore throat. i'm not sure but u might be able to use a honey&lemon glycerine qough mix but check with the pharmacist first. hope u feel better soon

xx

thanks for your advice girls. i decided to keep away from med and have been taking honey and lemon water which i think is slowly working.

wish my mum was here to look after me, theres nothing like your mum looking after you no matter how old you are!!! (she lives 230 miles away!!)
